yes, with invests its not that good, but sometimes you can actually nightmare them about mafia, and sometimes you don't, making the town not know and achieving the same final goal. I am just saying that investigators aren't its main use. my only current worry is that the mafia find the sk, and use the nightmare on the sk to the gf or consign, but the sk could just reveal that he was nightmared. AGAIN, ITS MAIN USE IS NOT MEANT FOR INVESTS. how do you suggest I change it then? I'm open for change.

To start, I think that targets shouldn't know who they had a nightmare about unless they visit that person. Or shouldn't know that they had a nightmare at all, unless they visit that person. That'd allow the role to work towards its goal more directly.

It wouldn't RB anymore than it does anyway. It wouldn't be OP at all. It'd be a mostly weaker, slightly more confirmable, slightly 3rd-party hurtin' version of the Consort then.

Basically, even with the changes I've suggested, this is still a UP role. Thanks for considering my suggestions, but version 2 should probably have something else tacked on.

Why shouldn't the Nightmarer be able to make people dream about themselves, V.I.A Transporter.
Possibly, It would work similarly like a vigilante suicide.
If a nightmarer scares a target into hating himself, he should have a limited amount of time before he commits suicide,
but instead of the word being guilt, (vigilante suicide) switch it out for the word fear.
(Someone) could not get over the fear and commited suicide.

Great idea, nearly flawless I should say.
I'd love to see this one in ToS (that's what I voted on the poll, too).

About the name, what about Sandman?
It's close to it's current name, both are connected to giving nightmares. (Although in some cases the Sandman is represented as a good person who gives dreams.)

Sandman also has some known real-life references, which would make it a good name.
For example, the Sandman comics from Vertigo; the song Mister Sandman and of course Enter Sandman by Metallica.

Sandman sounds like a mysterious, dark person messing with dreams, just like this role does.
Personally I think the only downside to this name would be the abbreviation (which would be SM, lol).

Anyways I hope you like my suggestion. (And I hope it has not been suggested yet)

I have a belief that mafia names should be sort of, sophisticated, concise (e.g consigliere, that name is awesome).

Using this logic, I believe this should be called "Incubus".
