As user RAmcius recently pointed out, Sheriff is an imbalanced role in the mafia metagame, automatically catching scum and it's presence being balanced by the forced presence of witch and GF. Thus, this limits role list creativity of hosts in a negative way, and, undoubtedly, is bad for the balance of the game as a whole. Thus, I propose to replace Sheriff with Cop. Cop has been shown to work in vanilla games without the need of detection immune scum, and can easily be translated to larger games as we have seen in many role madnesses on this site. I believe that Cop isn't only better to balance around, but fill it's niche better than Sheriff.
