Bureaucratic Mafia

Everyone here in Salem Inc. has the same story. They were specialists hired for being absolutely unparallelled in their field, they filled out forms to join the highly prestigious company (nobody really actually knew what said company did, but it was famous for being highly prestigious for what they did), they became a worker. Then there were even more forms, and more paperwork, and more desk jobs like getting the coffee or buying more pens, until everyone realised they never got anything done!

Then, disaster struck. The Chief Operations Officer was found murdered in his office, an unregulated post-it note found on his corpse. It appears the Mafia has risen again, cloaked in their red tape and out to destroy the Town again. With all the layers of bureaucracy, how is anyone supposed to do anything here?

Section 06.8: Game-specific Rules
    - This is a closed game, meaning all rolecards are hidden.
    - Rolecards will not flip on death.
    - The role or faction that caused a kill will not be shown upon a player's death.
    - All rolecards contain nothing but the truth. No players will have any traits hidden from them.
    - There are no Cultists, Vampires, or otherwise alignment-converting roles present in this game.
    - All roles have a specific wincon stated. There are no roles with a hidden win condition.

Ruleset 86.01 §4293.5: Game Mechanics
    - This is a 20-player Role Madness game, meaning there are no “true” Citizens. However, since everyone is too tied up with filling out forms, not everyone can use a night action at night.
    - To determine who can use their night action for the coming night, everyone is required to submit votes via blind ballot box (PMing the moderator during the day) to decide who can use their action for the night.
    - The players with the most votes will be informed of how many votes they received, and then be able to choose whether or not they use their night action that night.
    - The amount of players eligible for receiving a night action is (Living players)/3, rounded down. For example: If there are 13 living players, 4 votes would need to be submitted.
    - It will not be publicly revealed who voted for whom every day.
    - In the event of a tie for the players eligible for a night action, yet the lowest number of votes, the two or more players will both be able to use their night actions. (Example: If there are 4 players allowed to use night actions, and there is a tie in votes for the players with the 4th highest amount of votes, they can both use their night action.)
    - From Day 2 and onwards, a lynch is available. These votes must be publicly posted in the game thread, or they will not count.

Subsection 8.09 (4): Exceptions to mechanics
    - For a rare few roles, they can be issued Executive Orders, meaning they do not require any votes at all for their action to function. Potential Examples: Retributionist, Godfather, Amnesiac
    - The Mafia always has a factional kill available to them, which does not count as a usable night action. However, a Mafia member with a night action may not also perform the factional kill.
Short version:
Spoiler:
  1. Receive a role. There are no roles without some kind of action available to them.
  2. Starting from Day 1 onwards, you may vote for people who can use their night action the following night. Votes have to be submitted during the day, by PMing the moderator.
  3. The amount of people who can use their night action will be posted every day.
  4. If you’re one of the people who can use a night action, you’ll be told at the start of the night and will know how many people voted for you.
  5. If you have an Executive Order, you can use your action even without being voted.

Legal Counsel Section 48R6 §8412.93: Rolecards
The full list of rolecards is unavailable for public consumption, due to the sensitive nature of the documents. However, example rolecards have been provided below for your viewing pleasure. These specific roles are guaranteed to not be present in the game, but they are an accurate representation of rolecards and their formatting.
Spoiler:
Paralegal

You’re a Paralegal, meaning you’re a bit like a Lawyer, but you don’t get nearly as much respect from the common populace. Still, you’re good at what you do, whether it be in the courtroom or “interrogating” your witnesses.

During the day, you must reference a minimum of one game-related rule every day. Every rule can only count once. Failure to do so could result in revoking your law licence, leaving you useless. (Note: This does, in fact, count as a game rule for you.)
During the night, if you are given permission to do so, you may visit one person and record their testimony, learning how many people voted for them, and how many of those people were loyal to the Town.

You win when at least one member of your faction is alive at the end of the game, with no remaining players of opposing win conditions alive.

Human Resources Manager

You do exactly what your job sounds like, which is to manage the human resources. That’s all these workers are - resources, to be used and disposed of. Thankfully, you landed a cushy job with your team, and you don’t have to do much.

During the night, you may file yourself an Executive Order to drag someone off to your office for the night. While they are in a meeting with you, they will not be able to participate in any private chats they might be in or use any night actions (with or without their own Executive Orders). Each of you will be permitted to send 3 messages, each no longer than 1000 characters. You may sacrifice that night’s factional kill in order to deal with your prisoner by yourself. This ability can only be used if you did not use it the previous night.

You win when at least one member of your faction is alive at the end of the game, with no Town members or players of opposing win conditions alive.

Snake-Oil Salesman

Listen, you don’t care about that conspiracy nonsense. There’s no need to cut through all those legal messes. and there’s certainly no need to worry about anything. You have your fabulous “tonics” and “remedies”, and a customer base willing to hear all about the healing powers of a bullet through the throat.

During the night, you have a standing Executive Order to invite anyone into a private quicktopic during the night. While they are in the quicktopic, they will be hypnotized by your charm and you may privately control their action for the night. You may only use a quicktopic once with every player and must close one chat before inviting someone into another.

You win if you are alive at the end of the game (defined as a game state where the only players alive all have wincons that do not oppose each other) and when the Town loses. If you are alive at the end of the game at a Town win, you lose regardless.

Changelog:
17/1/16 - Updated a line that was still going under the assumption of "always 6 night actions".
18/1/16 - Added new game-specific rule- "- The role or faction that caused a kill will not be shown upon a player's death."

The rolelist is actually mostly complete, I just need to figure out balance. If you'd like, I could PM you the current rolelist, but you wouldn't be able to play the game if it were run.

I meant more as in "would you like to see this", but okay.

Offer's open to anyone else who's interested, by the way.

Have seen, give 8/10

Alzar says Cow is working out the last few balancing kinks with the collective power of the town team vs scum team, but there are some really interesting individual roles that I've never seen before, although that doesn't necessarily mean no one else has.
