Grimleal Support/Deception/Recruit units may also be promoted for every 2 kills, a unique trait is that they may also change roles if they are promoted again. The Interrogator/Validar may also unlock a single independent kill with promotion.
This seems like it will be very important in determining what our strategy might be.

I touched on this briefly in my megapost that I have saved as a draft. I'm trying to get it finished but University internet tends to disconnect a lot and you lose progress when there's 200+ people using it.

Okay, I have a huge break in lecture times, so I'm going to post now. I recommend sparing 30 minutes of your time to read this, I typically make long and informative posts, and I would like you all to read it. Apologies in advance if its bothering.
Spoiler:With the following mega-post, I am not trying to boast that I am the best FM Mafia player ever and that you should listen to me and nobody else due to my 2/2 Mafia record in 2D and 4B. This is a new type of game, new mechanics, much different from the way those games played out. I'm not an expert in this field. Infact, I highly encourage discussion between all Mafia members to make sure we make the right decision and to make everyone feel involved. We are in a game with many complicated roles, so we need to ensure that the 48 Hour discussion time is used wisely and fairly. Timezones may be an issue with back & forth discussion, as it always is, but we'll be able to get through it.
With that being said, I would like you all to try and be as active as you possibly can. I am not saying that you should prioritise this forum game over your real life dilemmas, but please make an effort. This goes out to watchme1 and Vucub in particular, you both inherit abilities that are going to heavily determine the outcome of the game for us. Inactivity is an issue that affects all factions of a FM game. If you simply do not have the time, please request a replacement.
Now, lets get down to business...
First of all, there is a rule that I would like to address that to me, is EXTREMELY important in a Mafia group. It is what helped my Mafia groups in both 2D and 4B to increase their chance of success.
Do NOT defend each other.
If a fellow Mafia member is under suspicion, then you will be suspicious of them too. Point out their suspicions and make an argument. Let them defend themselves. The goal of a Mafia is to appear as pro-Town as possible to divert investigations and lynches, and in this game it is especially important with this Promotion system. (More on Promotions later) If a fellow member is lynched, then the entire Town will see what they are and will divert their eyes to whoever defended them. As we are only 5 people in a 25 player game (this still holds the 1/5 ratio in regular games, but still, we aren't much), we cannot afford to lose members early on to non-Neutral Killing deaths. Defending your fellow Mafia members can also provoke Vigilantes and the like.
If you end up under suspicion yourself, do not panic. Stay calm and collected, and don't rush your posts. The more rushed and inconsistent your posts seem, the less likely you'll get out of the situation. If you are under suspicion from a confirmed Town role, then maybe you need to come up with some excuses for such a fact. It is increasingly important that the rest of us don't defend the accused if this is the case.
Promotions:
This is a concept I'm not 100% familiar with, but I grasp a general idea of what it entails. We're going to have to utilise our promotions to ensure we can gain an advantage in the game. However, this system can end up being a Scum-Identifying tool in itself. Do not vote for any of our members for promotion unless the majority of the Town agrees to do so. Any offset votes are likely going to be judged as scum, so if the Town votes one person mainly, make sure you're active and switching your vote to that person. Create your own arguments as to why other people should be promoted at your own risk, as this could also be judged as a scum move. I can't hold your hands and tell you how to play, but everything has a risk. Remember, we're trying to be as pro-Town as possible.
However, there is something I'd like to address about promotion voting before I go over promotion priority within our group. If there are two or more people being proposed for promotion, try to tie the votes if you can. I read in the rules that if you tie a promotion vote, the promotion goes to the runner up. This could potentially swing in our favour as we could make one of our own the runner-up to gain a promotion. This outcome is probably unlikely, but its worth a shot. I'm not sure if it would make us look anti-Town, this is the first I've seen this system utilised. Hopefully we can demonstrate this in a way that doesn't seem anti-Town.
Okay, promotion priority. In my opinion (and I would like you guys to share yours, too), this is how I think it should go (assuming no deaths)
#1 - Vucub:We get an extra kill doing this. I cannot express how useful this is, however the risk is that it can easily go to waste if Vucub dies. But I'm willing to take that risk. Think about it, we can jail and instantly kill whoever we want. Including confirmed Town. #2 - Santa & Twitch: You guys are basically Citizens of the Mafia list. Its probably going to be boring for a lot of the game, but please stay active. Your thoughts and votes are everything, and we can all try our best to get you a night action to make things exciting. #3 Watchme: You are staying the same. Consorts are easily one of the most important Mafia roles and I'd like to keep you around to use effectively.

Before I post my suggestion for Night Actions, I would like to confirm a few things with Metrion.
#1: When does the Interrogator decide who to jail? And #2 relates to #1: Can we protect a fellow Mafia member from an Occultist Mark the night they are marked with the Interrogator?

I've ranked everyone's experience below. Whilst targeting an experienced player is good, there's also a higher chance that they will be pretected.
leyva45 - Very Experienced Nvos - Slightly Experienced milte345 - Kind of Experienced Neasans - Very Experienced Kinsley - Kind of Experienced Invenio - Experienced jrbois - Experienced MiniatureCowgirl - Not too experienced Duck - Very Experienced TheNinja476 - Never heard of him 8thprince - Kind of Experienced jacobm1122 - Not experienced ValeforRaine - Very Experienced ARES147 - Not too experienced Arcthurus - Not too experienced TheCow - Very Experienced ADorkOfPork - Kind of Experienced pretzellover33 - Experienced spretznaz - Kind of Experienced Odin1010 - Kind of Experienced
I would be posting a section on Roleclaims, but my favourite part of this game is NO WHISPERS! Which means every roleclaim is public. Which means chaos. I like chaos. =D
As for Night Actions though, this is what I'm thinking.
Vucub: I'm assuming you haven't jailed anybody, since you can only do so during the day. Considering none of us have been jailed, this works out great. We could possibly make the possibility argument tomorrow that the Detainer jailed the Interrogator when that isn't the case. You would also need to not jail tomorrow to make this seem more believable, incase the Detainer jails the same person again. I need to confirm with you whether or not you've jailed somebody, though.
Watchme:Don't. Target. ANYONE. Not yet. I don't want to lose you to a silly Lunatic death this early on, and it happens more often than you think. Plus I'd like to plead a case that there may be a Framer/Saboteur while you remain hidden. I would also like you to put in your will 'N1 - Neasans' incase you are killed by the Lunatic anyway. I have an idea of what Neasans is, and if my suspicions are correct I want them gone immediately before they causes too much trouble.
I'll be looking over the Day 1 posts and picking an appropriate target. I do not want to attack potential Neutral Benigns, Evils, Occultists, or Villagers. I do not want to attack Odin, Mini, Neasans or TheNinja.
This will be the death note:
