Today I tried to buy a daily deal that popped up, but when I clicked the "UNLOCK" button, nothing happened. My browser didn't open, there was no menu to buy the deal within Steam, nothing. I couldn't buy it and my only choice was to exit out of the popup.

This generally only happens when the Steam Overlay is turned off or unresponsive. Is your Steam Overlay turned on?
