Both of these bugs happened yesterday, in different games, and at different times.
Bug 1. Incorrect Player List
At first, I thought TOS implemented some new idea, but the games that followed proved otherwise.
Let's say the Graveyard looked like this:
Peter (Bodyguard)
Shawn (Framer)
Mary (Serial Killer)
Tom (Disguiser)
Applesauce (Doctor)
Porkchop (Vigilante)
Moron (Medium)
The member list which usually shows only players which remain (to the right side of the chat) was messing up big time towards the end of the game. I had already been dead. It showed players there still alive who had "committed suicide" or were murdered earlier in the game. I glanced at it during one point and wondered why the sheriff just decided to give up, say gg and exit while there were still six players left. It was then that I realized there were really just two players left standing in the town circle, yet the right side still showed several of them alive (including Porkchop, Mary, etc.)
Bug 2. No Disconnection Detection
Usually if my Internet messes up but I reconnect within seconds, there is just a small delay in game play and then everything syncs back up to working order. If it lasts longer than a few seconds, the game freezes altogether and I cannot do anything - not even exit the game by clicking 'Leave'. I need to press Alt + F4 to exit. Yesterday, this happened in a match where I was Veteran, towards the middle of the game. My boyfriend was playing (or watching as a dead player) and I told him my Internet messed up and I need to log out - can I finish watching the game to see how it ends through him? There were about six players remaining, in Classic, though only the Godfather as the last evil. I thought for sure town would win. Yet my "silence" wound up getting me called suspicious when it was down to 3 members, even though I was the Veteran that the Investigator visited and died to on N1 and left in their will. I don't know what ended up happening because we stopped watching shortly after they were about to vote my long since disconnected role up.
The question here is why didn't it remove me from the game once I manually disconnected from it? First, it froze on my side (the game itself - I could do nothing.) Then I had to force the exit to happen. It still showed me "playing" for several nights after (I think 3+ before we stopped watching.) This is problematic because it looks like I'm either giving up and letting town down or deliberately throwing, neither of which happened... and it started to make me wonder if this is something that happens to other players too and they're unaware of it. I remember a game recently where we lynched an Escort because they refused to say anything during several day chats, voting phases and even on trial. They were silent the entire time and we were all surprised it was Escort and not jester/evil, especially since they didn't plead on the stand. No other player could really report this problem unless they are playing with friends and reveal who they are after death, so it may be happening and not being reported properly.
