audio cutting in and out

today i i turned on town of salem on steam and the music and sfx were cutting out at specific intervals, and its not my speakers because it only occurrs when salem is on, i tried resetting my computer twice reinstalling the game and adjusting the music slider, i know i can just play without the music but it just doesnt feel right.
