Transporter Not Dying To Medusa

I'm sorry I wasn't able to provide screenshots, so this may get deleted. ;-;

I was playing a game of Coven All Any, and I transported the Medusa on a night they gazed without dying. I'm positive they gazed because someone died that night.
When they turned out to be Medusa, I was incredibly confused. How did I, the Transporter, not die to the Medusa?
I transported myself and them, by the way.
