Was there a PM in-game? If so, it's not a bug. Potion Master can heal a coven member, and is the ONLY Coven member with the ability to visit another Coven member.
Remember that there were probably 2 coven alive at the time, seeing as you still saw a Coven visit. Necromancer's Ghoul is an astral ability, so it doesn't leave a visit.
I'd assume the second Coven member alive was the PM. If that is the case, it's not a bug.
