Can't log in past "Verifying Account"

Hi! I played this game on browser before purchasing it on steam. Haven't played since hearing about the hack and now I can't get past the screen "verifying account" after successful log ins. I tried manually logging in as well and it did the same thing... so i tried an incorrect password and the system caught it immediately. IDK whats wrong with it, but can I please get some help logging in?

After that, please clear the stored password and login with the new one, by clicking on login with Steam again.
