Hate Speech/Harassment Appeal on MicrowavedSalad

I was suspended for a week on the basis of "hate speech/harassment", and most likely because I got too rowdy during a game. I understand the reason for the report, and there is no excuse I can give for acting that way except for intoxication (no excuse to act like a fool, I know) and just feeling like I ruled the game in that moment. However, I do not understand why what I did warrants a seven day suspension. I do not normally act in this manner, and the morning after I completely forgot about the exchange. I did not specifically target anybody, I was simply "ackin a fool" for lack of a better phrase. Sifting through the report, I see I filter passed the c-word once (not in anyone's general direction, just said it because I felt like it) but I don't feel this warrants a week long ban. After the first two days I stopped being as awful as I was before then. Is there any way I could get my suspension lightened/removed altogether? Would be greatly appreciated.
