Ban Appeal: LordWatson

Hello ToS Appeals team.

I am here in regard to Report ID: 3677706 of which I was "deemed guilty".

The report states the reason as "Hate speech/Harassment" w/ detail of "Stalling game not killing at the end for a couple of nights".

While it might be "poor sportsmanship" or something similar... it certainly is not Harassment or hate speech nor is it Game throwing as we won the game the last night.


Edit b/c I apparently didn't see ID 3513164 on the list. I left as the person who was playing as "LordWatson" was a repeating harasser from the previous game. I'm not even going to defend that leave but I wasn't going to sit in a toxic lobby with them again.

This is considered harassment because instead of letting people get on with their day, you're holding everyone in that game hostage.

I disagree with this assessment.

Per "THE RULES": NO VERBAL ABUSE/ HARASSMENT/ HATESPEECH
Using language that is inappropriate is not allowed. This includes but is not limited to language that is vulgar, racist, sexually explicit, or abusive.

If there is an expansive list of how this is harassment I can be swayed to agree. However, unsportsmanlike conduct does not equal harassment.

Okay Jerme. Thanks for not answering my question. Your definition of harassment is so clear to me now.

At the going rate anything is debatable as harassment and I could essentially report everything as harassment because "it's not limited to" anything on the rules list. Because I'm not a snowflake I won't be doing this but your response is lackluster at best.

Here is a better solution - fix the game mechanics. Woah now there is a solution that wouldn't allow this type of thing to occur. If it is part of the game mechanics it shouldn't be deemable as harassment when a user plays the game as it is coded.

Seems like something that is definitely above you - might want to escalate that issue to the dev team so they can fix the game. Apologies that I played the game as it is coded and intended to be played.

Intentionally stalling the game has always been against the rules, and just like others have been, you got punished for it. You not being aware of this does not mean the rule does not apply to you. Furthermore is your passive-aggressiveness absolutely not needed here. I get that it might be frustrating to get suspended, but that doesn't mean you need to behave like this.

Whether or not you agree with the current ruleset has no bearing on whether or not a report is punishable and this rule has been in place for years. If you disagree with the rules, you are more than welcome to contact the devs at support@blankmediagames.zendesk.com, however, this still does not mean the report is invalid, so the suspension stands.

And just because you *can* do something in a game, does not mean it's automatically allowed.
