WW auto wins vs. Veteran - bug or not?

So to say simply, I was a veteran in a 1v1 situation. On the opposite was a werewolf who just attacked, so they would have to wait for a night to make a kill attempt. I had 1 alert left... You can see where this is going - a draw. But no, instead, the game ended, not letting me draw for the town. I do not really care as it was an All Any game, but if this happened to me in ranked, I would probably make a rant or whatnot. So to ask, is this intended behaviour? If so... WHY? In the end, the draws exist for a reason, don't they?
