How do i referrer friends and get the rewards?

So when I found out that you can unlock rewards from referring I thought it would be easy but when I searched it up I couldn't find anyone showing how to do it please help.

When someone creates an account, they might be given the option to add a referrer. The user can type in the accountname of the ferrering user into a optional box. There is also the way of using someones referral code to play before unlocking premium for the account. WHen you click play with a non grandfathered or premium account, you are given a prompt asking you to buy an account upgrade, there is also the option to redeem a referral code, which unlocks 5 possible games for the account before one has to upgrade it.
