Are NE obligated to help NK?

So I was in a game as a Jest, surviving til Day 6. It was just me, the WW, and the Mafioso-turned-GF left, and both agreed to give me the win. I got hanged and I killed WW that night, so when Mafia won, WW + Town shat on me, calling me a "thrower". The dead Jailor even said that "NE always has to help NK." Since I've never heard of this before and literally love causing chaos as Jester, is this true?

That's not required, nor is it throwing. Neutral Evils are called such as a reason. They cause chaos. They have no obligation to anyone.
