Trial system

How are jurors in the trial system selected to be judges? Does a requirement need to be fulfilled, or are they chosen based on their reputation as a juror?

They have to fulfill multiple factors. Firstly experience with voting, secondly having proven a good judgement and thirdly they have to pass a certain test after being selected as a possible candidate for a judge.
