Is it considered game throwing?

Postby MacReturned » Sat Jun 19, 2021 7:22 pm

OK so I was necro in this round and I got hung d2 for defending my fellow Coven. I claimed retributionist but 3 CCs my claim. Before my death, I wanted to accuse 3 being coven but I misclicked saying '2 is coven' and 2 indeed was a Coven member. So now they are reporting me for game throwing. Is it truly a bannable offense if I simply misclicked?

Please be informed that I am asking for a friend named amazinghom (if you see him in the reports). I understand he did commit a mistake but it wasn't intentional and was simply a misclick. Thus, he accepts the punishment that might be given, but simply pleads innocent on intentional game throwing.

I'm not really sure whether or not that would be bannable in this case.

You can probably get a good answer by asking around on the Trial System Discord server. The invite link is in this thread.

''I am gamethrowing'' ''2 is coven''

kinda hard to talk his way out of that one.... maybe if he didnt specifically say he was gamethrowing right before he did lol

Check dead chat after he died. He typed out his mistake instantly.

i did see that, but he really shouldnt be admitting to gamethrowing, even if hes not.... especially if hes not. I could argue that thats something a gamethrower would say, to try and test the system. Theres even a pop up before the matchs start, that says ''we will take your word for it'' altho I think thats about impersonating bots. There is a thread somewhere on the subject, and why its a stupid tactic to use, but judging by his other reports, I would assume hes pretty new to the game..or to coven modes at least.

The trial system is also heavily relied upon admittance in most cases, so while fake gamethrowing could be considered a tactic, its a very bad one, especially with that many regs in the game, youre going to be reported everytime.....

But nothing anyone here can do...its up to the jurors (and the judge if it gets guiltied) now. The trial system discord would be your best bet for answers...altho idk if spotlighting the report is a good thing or not XD
