Number one reason I kept doing those classes.
Though the fact the teacher actively laughed at how most of the class were doomed was fun too.

For the most part. I wish I got paid more, but I do work for a non-profit so that's not going to happen.

I take this back. I loathe my job now. The current guy that I have to deal with this year is a gigantic asshole and it seems like his favorite thing to do is insult me every single time he sees me. Adulting is hard, people. Enjoy those school days while you can.

I'm currently doing my final internship before I graduate in about a month from now.
Today I finished my final report.

They forced us to put a hard cap on the amount of words that can be used in the report. (7500 words)
Which is WAAAAAAY too few to cover all the work that I've been doing so far. I need at-least 15000! T_T
And I'm not even allowed to refer to other documents either T_T

But on the bright side. I should be finished with school soon-ish.
I'll be super happy if that's the case ^^ I hate school with a passion.
They teach you all kinds of biased information. If you disagree with a teacher and you can back it up, then that's touch luck. You need to do it their way or you fail. >.>

It's like "You need to define your final products at the start and set some deadlines at the end and all the products that you will be delivering in between!
and then they wonder why I didn't use an agile working method. >.> You cant do agile while having all products pre-defined you *bleep* of *bleep bleep bleep* left foot! and your *bleep bleep bleep* harry potter! is larger than *bleep bleep* your mustache!

Can't agree more :D looking back now school was the most relaxed time I've ever had. Well I never had to study that hard to get relativetly good grades and I didn't went to college neither. But now working 40h/week on a 3-shift I wish I would go to school tomorrow ;)

Nevermind wishing everyone here good luck with their finals, stay positive :)

This is true, until you get to university... No-one compliments you for your work, nor do they get excited from it. You get absolutely no help from anyone at all. No manager to support you, you get no salary, you even need to PAY to work for them.

Until you get to university, yes... it's heaven, I loved school. Once you hit university... Enjoy working 70+ hours a week on your school assignments. At-least that was the case for my studies. I'm extremely happy to be able to work.
You've got a manager to keep you motivated, the things you make actually get used by the company. You earn an actual salary so you can finally get a proper desk, chair, pc, games... everything... I do NOT miss university...

That degree is more useless than gender studies.

common problem, there's no guidance for people who are undecided.

I suggest you don't just look at the things you're good at or where you're interested in.
Think about how you'd like to be working.

Do you wish to work alone or in a group?
Do you like to be flexible and dynamic or would you like to do the same thing and specialize in it? (do a broad occupation or become a specialist)
Do you want to work on thing or do you wish to talk about things? (carpenter vs advisor)
Do you wish to lead or do you wish to follow?
Do you wish for a mentally taxing job or a physically taxing job?
How mentally/physically taxing do you want your job to be? (remember, the more taxing it is, the larger the chances of promotion are. Please for the love of all that is holy don't look at just the money.)

Think about these things, it's ok if you cant choose, then you're just in the middle there :)
In almost every branch in the world you'll be able to find occupations that meet some of these goals. Personally I can only help you if you want choices in IT because that's my own branch. But I'm certain there's plenty of branches that have similar things.

It serves the same point true.
But the practical aspects help.
Like its good to learn camera set ups.

My last day of high school was Tuesday and I graduate next week! I'm going to college next year for cognitive neuroscience and linguistics, mostly just excited to get out of my house and hometown.
