My science teacher separated me from my girlfriend while we were doing an experiment and we were accused of talking when we were discussing the experiment
What a douche
Oh well, I share a dorm room with her, so yay~

In my country if I'm not wrong it's against rules to enter the opposite gender's dorm section, let alone room. Our school (middle-high school IB school) has its own hostel, and it's compulsory for every student to live there in year 5. 20 students per section, about 160 students a year.

I'm transgender you idiot and I always identify as female
And I share a dorm room under specific requests to the president of the college

My school sold snacks and stuff that were a bit overpriced before, but this year, they were even more overpriced. We have to pay for the lunches now using student ID cards.

lucas8411 wrote:(seriously one of the reasons why I joined this forums is because of that class).

Please elaborate?

No, I mean our school fee is already expensive, and we didn't have to pay for lunches before. The food company is greedy as f*ck.

I think that's all food companies. They charge us 50p for half a bagel. Not even a whole bagel. Half a bagel.

My school also has an IB program which I am looking forward to getting an IB diploma, but otherwise, the school is fine except for World History and English.

For us it's optional, you pay it with cash, PIN or via student ID cards

Shout out to that system the schools here use where they basically just hand out shitty plastic cards to put money on for food.
I at no point purposefully jammed the top-up machines. That was some other student.

I was definitely not the one who scratched the magnetic strip on the card so it told them that there was an issue with connection, thus making them think the machine was broken and actually call technicians, leading to much frustration where they couldn't work out was wrong while repeatedly testing the machine with the scratched card.

Not the catering staff's brightest moment, I have to note.

Yesterday, I had a Science test on genetics and inheritance, for which I studied until midnight the night before. To my surprise, it was fairly easy. Then we had a sudden math test, which has to see what we knew and what we didn't know. We watched Gattaca in English and worked on comprehending an article and reflecting on our presentations in Humanities. After-school, I went to the Chess Club and only the supervisor was there; the grade 11s were on a trip and the grade 12s were having their Extended Essays. We playing two quick games of checkers/draughts, and then he showed me this completely free chess app called Shredder.

Man, that day went by fast. Now I'm in SAT class. We just finished a mock test. So many tests but I can deal with it.

Got 89% in my computing test, got a level 9
Got 92% in my french test, got a level 8

what is this bs
I worked so hard on french
and this is how you treat me

in other news I'm on my half term break now, and I'm also dead inside because I have exactly 7 pieces of homework to complete, including 2 entire essays (kill me now)

NoodleLick wrote:I can never seem to believe someone when they get straight A's. It just seems to happen too often...

I'm more like how because my grades dropped off a cliff once I got into the GCSE work
I mean, I went from consistent 95% to consistent 70% within 1 month
it's a struggle, clawing them back

It's been tough, to say the least. I'm in the IB program and we're working on our CAS projects now. It requires a lot of initiative and good people skills. I have none of that.

It's about time I've applied to colleges as well, but I don't know what I want to major in. I don't even know if I want to go to college, which would be a waste, considering I'm working my ass off to keep my grades up and get involved with things that'll look good on an application. I'm thinking about getting into computer science, but mathematics have never been my strong point.

There's some other things affecting school life too, but that's a story for another day.

What are the CAS projects?
Spoiler: CAS stands for Community and Service, right? Just want to make sure.

CAS stands for creativity, activity, and service. Each of these are referred to as "strands," and our project(s) must encompass all three of them. I'm fundraising money for a local hospital and doing an art project to go along with it, but decided to help others to fulfill activity.

Do you start this in grade 11 or 10? Because I might have to do it soon.

Hmm... my school's chess club offers the creativity strand.

We started in 11th and carry it on into 12th. Sorry to be a wet blanket, but good luck, you'll probably need it.
