I wouldn't bother to be honest. All you need to do is take it twice.

Once so you know how it works, and once to game the system and maximize your score. There is literally no penalty to taking the test several times as long as money is no object. I didn't take classes or anything and I managed a 2000 the second time.

It depends on the person. I took it once without studying and got a good score; one of my friends took it twice and got mediocre scores both times, then took a class and got a significantly higher score the third time. I don't know how studyable the new SAT is, though.

In other news, I'm moving into my dorm on August 20th, which is super exciting.

school is the worst idea ever. Proof:

Let's say I want to be an artist:
Science= Trees and Forests, does nothing. Sky Science, does nothing. Evidence, does nothing. Air and Aerodynamics, if you are a papermache artist maybe.
Math= Patterns, most helpful. Long division, nothing
Social= All history does nothing to help an artist
LA= Writing and reading have very little to do with drawing

therefore, you spent 180 days, 7 hours a day, unpaid, to get inspiration.

Have you purchased any components yet?

Not yet... I have no idea of what brand of components to purchase and my supervisor is not replying to my emails either

I don't know what's available where you are, but it seems to me that the brand doesn't matter that much for a lot of the components, as long as the components are compatible with each other--for example, if you get an Intel processor, you can't use a motherboard designed for an AMD CPU, it won't fit in there.

Getting ready for school. Still got work to do before school starts- book annotations and movies.

I'm starting an EMS course and will be learning what all that's exactly about. I'm excited, but also ignorant at how much work and time I have to put in. Regardless I'm going into it feeling okay. Gathering the clothing has been hell, as I need a special military type uniforms.

Preparing to take statistics when my 2nd year of university starts in 1 month.

statistics...statistics....statistics..statistics...statistics.

*buries grave*

The bright side is I have 2 days off in the week plus weekends for both semesters. It's going to be hard work but the freedom of university beats highschool anyday of the week including Mondays.

You can discuss what you're doing in your classes, such as the unit you are studying or the assessment you are working on.
You can discuss what is happening in your social school life.
You can also describe what your school is like, what learning system it uses, what events it hosts and what it does for the community.

Here is what I'm doing in school:
Spoiler: In Humanities, the class is studying a Business unit. We are currently watching a documentary on the History channel about the history of successful businessmen in the past such as Carnegie, Rockefeller, and J.P. Morgan. In our assessment for this unit, we have to individually formulate a business plan to market a product or service and analyze the effectiveness of our plans. In the end, we have to pitch the product through a presentation.

My school uses the IB Programme.

(nerd)

My life in school is No School Yay!

I've considered trying to finish my degree several times...but I haven't gone through with it yet.

I just...don't like school.

College doesn't have uniforms
Which is cool
Unfortunately that means no blazer
Which means no extra pockets

God I hate having to put on this uncomfortable school outfit. On the bright side, my music teacher isn't here today, and when we have a sub we can use our technology, so here I am

Let me rephrase that: they looked ugly as crap. Why?

- Shirts don't have shirt pockets anymore. I used them last year to put pens.
- They changed the fabric of the shirt. Though more insulating, they just look ugly, especially the ones for the junior secondary (from light blue to solid blue)
- Though PE teachers wear them, the new PE uniforms look bad compared to last year's uniform. Somehow they only look good on PE teachers.
- Jackets are made from an unfamiliar material, and they also removed the hood.
- They made my size 180 too big and they don't have 170...

Those are just my opinions, but we'll have to see when school starts.

Holy cow, there's so many things I have to do to get ready for school. Getting the textbooks is probably the worst part. I went today to get some pictures of my chem textbook so I can study ahead... Hopefully I can actually motivate myself to do so, haha.
I have five courses which all probably require textbooks (except for pharmacology)... that's gonna be a lot of money if I don't find a way around it

So, classes have started to get more frequent, though the schedule is a little different

We have 8 classes. Like normal. But now it's split up into block classes. 4 periods a day, with 90 minutes each. It's nice, I can actually learn something before class ends.
