I watched a bit of the anime, played the card game and have played enough of pokemon on an emulator to know what the game's like when I was a kid. But I never really finished a game or got very far so I don't think I really got into pokemon games. I grew out of pokemon long time ago and don't want to bother with it now, but I have this bucketlist to at least play one pokemon game properly before I die lol. My friends that have played it say it's pretty neat, childish, but a pretty neat game.

Basically this. I wasn't super impressed w/ Alola. Gen 6's story campaign was lacking but it at least had a lot to offer in terms of cool mechanics. Z-Moves are very flashy... for the one turn that they last. And it baffles me as to why they totally fucked over the clothes system. I'm also bitter that they've seemingly ditched Mega Evolutions without paying my gals Vespiquen and Rapidash what's rightfully theirs >:(
