Actually yeah. Duolingo is kinda useful for at least recognizing basic words and stuff, even tho the sentences that those words are used to make sometimes make little sense in the app.

It is good for learning new words and grammar. But won't ever make you fluent at the language.

I always wanted to learn Spanish and as I have more time sitting in my property in Germany, I started to use Duolingo also, but apart from this I use another sources also, because you need to train not only from one source.

I think learning languages becomes more effective if you use them in your daily life. If you have nowhere to apply the language(s) you're learning, it's harder to retain what you learn.
