Actually yeah. Duolingo is kinda useful for at least recognizing basic words and stuff, even tho the sentences that those words are used to make sometimes make little sense in the app.

I think learning languages becomes more effective if you use them in your daily life. If you have nowhere to apply the language(s) you're learning, it's harder to retain what you learn.
