“Of... of course!” An unsteady smile begins to appear on Simon’s face. “Santa’s still alive, he’ll just bring everyone back! N-no one needs to worry... haha-“ Simon suddenly grips the side of his bed, as if to steel himself. “It’s fine.” He’s uncharacteristically quiet. He reaches for the button to vote to kill Charlie, but stops as his hand shakes.

Gary throws his remote to the other side of the room

"The decision is now out of my hand"

"We likely won't get out of here without one of them dying, but I don't know who to vote for. You can't just throw someone's life away like that."

"The jolly green giant said that the elves that Santa tried to revive were alive! Santa has existed for centuries and I have no doubt that a few workplace accidents and...other incidents...might've taken place during that time."

"How has Santa NOT perfected it? From the sounds of it, he wasn't exactly interrupted in the middle of the process."

Ryan's finger brushes against the 'Santa' button.

"We deserve some answers."

Gary throws his remote to the other side of the room

"The decision is now out of my hand"

(grabs the remote and press santa lol)

"I really hope that it lands on what you wanted."

Simon’s hand is shaking too much to press either button. He fumbles with his remote, and it slips from his fingers, landing on the bed he’s sitting on. He’s still managing an unsteady smile, though you can clearly tell that he’s panicking internally... but damn if he’s not trying hard to fake his usual optimistic attitude. He’s muttering something to himself quietly, over and over...

Letitia is quite clearly still asleep, despite being stood up. How...?

“... oder vielleicht könnte ich die Toten mit meinen eigenen Fähigkeiten zurückbringen...!” Simon seems to have a sudden revelation, and stops trembling as he does so. For a second. Then he starts shaking again... only to burst out in honest-to-God manic laughter, as an equally manic and unstable grin replaces the self-assuring smile he was trying to put on his face before. “Oh, brilliant! Absolutely brilliant!” Simon stands up quickly and gestures wildly, arms spread wide. “Do not worry, my friends! I’m going to fix this with science!” And just like that, Simon rushes to the door to the cafeteria, attempting to pry it open.

"I won't be answering any questions," the Grinch grunts, "Now vote."

In response to that, Alice slams her remote face down... but nothing happens. The remote is shaped in such a way that the floor can never touch the buttons.
Gary tries to imitate Alice and throws his remote to the other side of the room... and it slams against the wall. When it does, you all hears something break. The controller is now on the floor, definitely broken. Gary walks up to it and tries pressing the buttons, but they don't work anymore.

"...Honestly..." Steve presses the Charlie button, "...Do we really have much of a choice here? We certainly will not accomplish anything by staying here forever, and if Santa dies... it's game over."

"Steve, what are you doing?! This is ridiculous! I won't be voting!!" Bruce throws the controller towards the monitor, but he didn't throw it fast enough and it hits Gary's head instead... but at least he has a new remote! "What is the point of this, you Letiastic piece of green deer poop?!"

"...What?"

After the monitor updates, Simon attempts to leave the room, but discovers that the door leading to the cafeteria has been welded shut. He then tries the exit door just in case, but something is blocking it from the other side.

Ryan's raises his voice into a mockingly high pitched one.

His voice then returns to normal.

"Bruce, temper tantrums won't solve anything. We get it. You have a boner for violence. Thank you for repeating that multiple times."

"You do know you are voting for who's going to be killed, right?"

"People are going to say that I killed Charlie if I didn't vote anyhow. Besides, the majority of you are voting to kill an innocent woman anyways regardless."

Simon, in his crazed and probably desperate state, appears to have tuned out the arguing as he rushes back to the cafeteria’s door. He pulls a knife out and starts using it to attempt to pry open or hack away any non-metal part he can, to what is likely no avail. Looks like he has no interest in voting.

"Now that I've thought about it a little bit, I think Santa is going to die either way. The Grinch wants to punish him for trying to revive the elves, so what would he gain from Charlie dying?"

Merk pushes the button for Santa.

"I'm pretty sure this is a choice between either Santa dying, or him as well as Charlie. In that case, it makes much more sense to choose him only."

"I swear, if you people insist on not voting, then I'm just going to take your remotes and randomly press buttons."

"We are deciding someone's fate, if they die or not! I'm having the most reasonable reaction here, I'm actually surprised you can just brush this off AND vote Santa, the reason Christmas even exists!" Bruce glares at Ryan, "But I shouldn't be surprised, I'm speaking to someone who tried to punch a girl while she was in a god damn coma!"

William votes Charlie. Alice tries pressing both buttons, but what happens is that she votes one person and her vote automatically changes to the other.
Ryan and Merk vote Santa.

While those four vote, Gary takes the remote he got from Bruce and repeatedly jumps on it. As he remembers the Grinch said they would very much stay there for eternity if they didnt vote, the controller breaks.

When the monitor updates, Simon takes out a knife and tries breaking free from the room yet again by scratching the welded door with it. He doesn't do much damage to the door, however.

(If by the time I wake up (around 8 hours from now) there isn't a majority, I'll just proceed with the person with the most votes)

Simon may not be doing much damage to the door, but he doesn’t look to be giving up anytime soon. Hey, at least the knife is getting sharpened... actually, in Simon’s hands, that’s a bad thing.
