What were... those two loud bangs...? As most of you stand there confused, you just quickly sprint to your room... and seconds later, a high pitched scream is heard coming from somewhere. Someone's in trouble?!
You exit your room along with everyone else. Paegus is in her wheelchair, Beau has an umbrella and Kam'rae has a staff-like stick in her hand. As you look around, you note that two people are missing: Letitia and Phoenix. Without thinking it twice, you jump into the room from which you heard the scream: Letitia's.
In there, you find Letitia with a bag in hand being covered with something that resembles a red cape?, and on top of this red cape, not letting Letitia get the cape off, is... the bloody body of Phoenix, some of her head seemingly having been cut open.

You stand before her shocked for a moment, and that's when Justin barges past the ones in the entrance and enters the room, facing all of you immediately after.

"Who the fu?!-" he appears to want to say something, but then notices the body, "I don't care about whoever killed this girl, now spit it out! Who did *that*?! And I'm not talking about this bitch!"

Van Dine enters the room when Justin says that.

"...I am afraid Ellery is... no longer with us. And Carr is nowhere to be found," says the guard.

"What do you mean Ellery is not with us?! Carr disappeared?! Was he the one who shot Knox?!" Justin yells, "Agh! Godammit!!"

Without giving the people around you a single look, he storms out of the room. Van Dine stays.

"...I shall inform you of what happened later. The train will automatically stop soon, the trial will start right before it does so I recommend you to investigate as fast as you possibly can."

Having said that, the guard leaves.
...What happened??

- You have 24 hours to PM me where you want to investigate.

- You have 4 (four) credits this round. One (1) credit spent allows a scan of a room, while two (2) credits allow an in-depth investigation of a room.
The corpse counts as a separate room.

- If you have a skill you can use, PM you want to use it along with which room you are investigating.

- You cannot discuss what you did on the night on this phase. Save that for trial.

- Remember: Posting here which room/s you will be investigating is for organization purposes only. This is so your organize with other players so you don't have five people checking a single room.

- After I send you your investigation, you mustn't post here what you found. Save that for trial.

- One last thing, remember to ask questions about your investigation like the OP says. You may find important information.

- You can only ask questions if you are indepthing a room, of course. A scan is just a glance. An indepth search really is an indepth search, which is why you're allowed to investigate more.

I think you should swap those two, actually. Do an indepth in the dorm corridor and scan Letitia's room.

"I agree with Bryce on that one, since he's already in-depthing my room. Personally, I think doing a scan might be a waste since we need all the info we can get, but with how few of us are left, we might not have a choice but the just scan some areas. I'll in=depth the storage, then I'll in-depth Paegus' room. I still recommend someone check - if not in-depth - the freezer, infirmary and Phoenix's room.

Working it out, there's seven of us left and each of us has 4 points, which means we can do two in-depth scan each. Theoretically, if we all in-depth two unique rooms, we can in-depth the vast majority of the train. The main spanner in the works is the dorm carriage, since each room is classed as unique in itself, so in order to do the most rooms, we'll need to scan whichever we think aren't important....which is easier said than done..."

There's also whoever keeps hitting people with a shovel which somehow magically gives them an extra point, so whoever that person chooses this time could theoretically in-depth two rooms and scan a third room, if they wished to do so..."

From checking the map, if we just look at main areas and not offshoots, we haven't checked the outside area, the kitchen, the sauna, the av room, the bathrooms, and the control/engine room, though last time I checked we can't get into that last room, so I'm not sure if should diregard that area or give it a quick scan instead.

Then there's the offshoots. Including those, there's the two separate toilet areas and the rest of the dorm rooms. A lot to check, so we need to decide if there's any we don't think are relevant and can either be just scanned or ignored altogether - a bad idea, but might very well be a necessary evil,"
