Fear
The innate human emotion that causes us to feel scared when we find something threatening.
Every human being has it, some are just better at hiding it than others. Of course, fear causes us to do some things that we would not do normally. It comes in many different forms. Fear of losing ones close to you, fear of failing, fear of being stabbed in the night, at one time in our lives, we experienced true and terrifying fear.
However, today I would like to talk about one specific branch of fear. Isolation. The fear of being left alone. To fend for yourself. To have the world turn against you in a second. To be frank, its rather scary. Something that everyone has worried about. So what would you say, if I wished to test the limits of this fear. How far would people go when confronted with isolation. The possibility of no friends, no family, just the blackness that is death. “How would you do this” you ask with morbid curiosity. I can answer that question with a simple plan. Take 15 teenagers, not too young, not too old, throw them onto a boat with no supervision and their lives at stake, and wait.
Eventually, things will turn sour. Anyone can guess that, but how far will it go? How much are they willing to pay to escape their ride. To leave before they reach their final destination? Well I can assure you one thing…. Its going to be interesting to find out.
Ladies and gents, I welcome you to a most celebratory event. From this day forth… You will be passengers on my ship. Traveling the world, until you reach the Final destination. I hope you enjoy your trip.
