DR IX: A Desolate Mind

Standard Rules:
Spoiler: 1. The winning conditions is to survive and pass the final trial.

2. There will be three phases: Night Phase, Investigation Phase, and then Trial Phase.

3. During Night Phase, send me a PM on how you want to spend the night. It can be a relaxation or a murderous rampage. However, there will be limits on how many you can kill per night.

4. During investigation phase, you investigate trying to channel your inner Miles Edgeworth and find fake evidence.

5. The next phase is Trial Phase, which starts once everyone has voted for it during Investigation Phase. During this phase, you will vote for who you think is scummy as hell. Just don't commit a controversial decision!

6. If you are the culprit and you successfully get through Trial Phase, you get an immunity gain.

7. The maximum number of people you can kill is up to me. You can't commit suicide (otherwise you'll end up failing yourself and knocking yourself unconscious).

8. Between Trial Phase and Night Phase there is a short intermission in which the dead can also talk.

9. If you know you won't be on for more than 24-36 hours you will let me know. if you don't and you are inactive for longer than 24 hours you will get prodded. You then have another 24 hours to respond on the gamethread. If you don't, you will be replaced immediatelly. I'm not gonna wait until the Trial is over.

10. I will use this colour for all messages because Teal is been my color for years.

11. If I get multiple murder requests, I may either: A) Have Multiple Murders or B) Pick the most interesting.

12. You can have one accomplice when you kill. They are only considered an accomplice if they are aware they are an accomplice. During trial, I will surprise you with the involvement of a second person if either the accomplice or the culprit get a majority vote.

13. All PMs to me related to this game must start wth "DR IX" (Capital D, Capital R, "eye-ex") in the subject. Messages that don't have this may be ignored (but of course I'm lenient, right? WRONG!).

14. If you want to text someone (yes, that's right, screw whispers), you may PM me you are going to whisper to whomever. There are no character limit to what you can say (unless it's a large emoticon message, I will ban your data plan). You may only text four per Investigation Phase.

15. There is absolutely no talking about an active investigation or trial outside of the DR IX thread! If I catch someone or told by multiple sources that you're doing this, you will get replaced immediately! Capiché?

16. Editing should be disabled. I'm sure.

Unique Rules (suggested by myself and friends):
Spoiler: 1. There will be surprises. No, not tomfoolery and crap like that. This will be one of those games where a decision is made and may affect your outcome. Clues may get lost, or someone gets kidnapped, etc.

2. Secret Rooms will be a thing. When the map is posted, each part of the map has a room that is not labeled. It could be either next to it, over or under it! These rooms could contain tidbits to help or wreck you.

3. Hope was a word that was said many, many times in past games. Well, here's the thing: the place you're going to has no hope... It's sorta desolate. So if you want to say Hope as much as you like, oh boy.

4. Let's be literal here. If you really want to let the game progress, please stay active, or your body may rot from some... Er... Creatures that may lurk at night. Oh yeah, don't worry, they can only knock you unconscious for a whole night if caught.

5. Physical fighting will be a thing, if you want it. So if you want to say, punch Ibney in the face, RNG will be there. Kick someone in the crotch? RNG. If it is a weapon however, well, that's your problem.

6. Not all of these rules could be in the game unless I can remember how I set this up. If I forget, or should I say, if nobody mentions the rule of something, that may lead to bad luck. Just saying it right now.

7. I have a dog, you see? Ummm, he doesn't really know many people, and sometimes he can be a dick. If he bites you, he may make you bleed to death. No, not joking here. If he barks, that's his general saying that he hasn't seen you before or you're an acquaintance. But if he licks your face, he likes you. Logic, right? Oh, and he cannot die, just so I don't mourn over my internet dog.

8. Downiekuma gets the final laugh. If you disagree with my rulings, GTFO. Not really, but please don't be that one person. Please.

"Deadly? Like a second murder? I mean, nobody visits that place anymore. I'm sure nobody's that dumb to go into a two-decade year old place."

"Yeah, about that, you're in charge of some people who want to venture into this such place."
