steam linking problems

Hi,

I'm trying to get benefits from purchasing The Coven DLC.

When I try to login to Steam this is what happens:

1) Get on TOS
2) Click Login with Steam and it won't accept your TOS password or Steam password.
3) I Login with my TOS account
4) It asks if I want to link Steam
5) I click yes then the popup turns gray and vanishes.

My steam account is darkdemon23
My TOS account is rar123

What happens when you click on the "login with Steam"-button?
Does the game ask you to type in a password? if so, for which account?

it asks for a password which i dont know the password for because its not steam or town of salem password

The headline should mention the account that is currently linked with Steam.
You are not able to link a different account with Steam, when you have one already linked.

the game says im not linked and im using the same account from when i bought the game on steam

Could you screenshot the prompt you are given when clicking "login with Steam", upload it somewhere an d link it to me?

Can you log into the forums with the darkdemon23 account, or is that also a negative? You need to use your Town of Salem password for that.

If it gives you the message of "invalid password", I suggest using this link to have a new password sent to your e-mailaddress.

Does the account "darkdemon23" belong to you?

yes it does belong to me

Then try to recover the password to that account, as this is the one you currently have linked with Steam. You cannot link an other account to your Steam ID once it was linked.

darkdemon23 is my steam account rar123 is my town of salem account and i have not used new accounts

What I gather from the screenshot is that when you bought ToS on Steam, when you first clicked the green "sign in with Steam" button, you registered a new account instead of linking an already existing one.

i bought the game on steam and did not purchase it from blankmediagames.com and when i bought it on steam i registered my first and only town of salem account

When you should have linked your Account with Steam you are required to type in your ToS login credentials, as the Steamclient already knows your Steamaccount due to it beign started with it.

well then i guess i need my steam account unlinked from my tos account

You have to e-mail the devs via info@blankmediagames.com for that, as this is something I cannot do.
