I was playing as consort with the GodFather as the only other mafia left.
He was lynched, and I was promoted to mafioso as the only killing role.
HOWEVER, isn't mafioso supposed to become GodFather when the GodFather dies?

Only Mafioso becomes GF. You started as Consort
IOW: You can only be promoted once.
