Medusa “stoning” Pestilence

I was in a game of lovers mode, where I was a solo Medusa against a Pest (I think they accidentally killed their lover and didn’t mean to even win, they just wanted to become the Pestilence, but I digress). There was a trap on me from the previous night, and Pest attacked me. It says I turned them to stone and was protected. Next night they attacked me again and it says I turned them to stone again. Obviously that didn’t happen, so the Medusa/Pest interaction is broken

There was also a game with me, an arsonist, and a solo Medusa, where we killed each other the last night and it gave a loss instead of a draw, so there might be multiple broken interactions, I’m not sure

That message follows the same rules as Veteran and that is you get it regardless of whether or not the victim has died.

If anyone meets their win condition and the game ends, then anyone who did not meet their win conditions will lose.

Draws only occur when nobody meets their win condition.

That game had several exes who won. It was a weird game
EDIT: looked at my draw counter and I guess that game counted as a draw? It didn’t up there draw counter at the time after the game though

Either way, Medusa has a stalemate detector problem because it doesn’t auto lose against Pest.

the stalemate detector is meant to prevent stalemates, and medusa vs pest is always gonna end up being a pest win, unless the pest leaves or throws or something, so it wouldnt make sense to add that to the stalemate detector

Then why does the stalemate detector activate with arso vs SK or GF vs vamp?

It doesn't. Everyone can kill vamps, Arso can kill GF & SK.

Arso > SK & GF > Vamp

It shows here all of the auto-win detectors. I’ve had both examples I listed activate for me, but there are a lot more here which aren’t technically stalemates

regardless, it doesnt really make sense to add this situation to the stalemate detector since it isnt needed and would just kinda be a waste of time

Medusa is supposed to show as stoning Pest, then? That doesn’t make sense

Medusa attacks Pestilence by stoning them. However, it fails.
This does not change the fact that the Medusa DID stone the pestilence.

So if Medusa stones someone with powerful or invincible defense, the player will still get the “you have turned someone to stone” message? If so, I think that should be changed to “you tried to stone someone but their defense was too strong!” or a general message that says “you gazed at someone”, like vet and WW get. “You turned someone to stone” sounds pretty definitively like they are dead
