This is a Jester strategy I tend to use in All Any. So far it has worked all but one time.

If there is a bit of chaos in the chat Day 2 (such as Exe pushes and sheriff claims) I'll often say something like this:

"Guys, I was rb'd last night and it said I was doused so we probably got an escort/consort and the arsonist role."

So far I haven't had a lot of people guess Jester, as someone often immediately flips out and says "Only arso can know arso is doused he's arso" and if you play dumb well enough you tend to get lynched.

I know the last time I did this someone was calling me an idiot and told me to learn to play the game. "Well, no need to be mean you learn somehow right?" Oh the pleasure of my will popping up "Who's the idiot now? Coming for you "

An interesting strategy... one that utilizes one's inexperience and turns it into a weapon instead. Just make sure to have default customization options (skins, houses and all that) to make it more convincing and don't try it at ranked.

Jester is one of my favourite roles, just because its dark in a funny way. I like the idiotic trickery behind such a simple goal

What I did as jester was just make a spy will and not claim N2, so when they asked my role and I posted the will, I got lynched easily.

i just claim RBed n1 then push on any TS claims

honestly man i SUCK at playing jester. just now i cc vig and asked the other vig to shoot me, only to get jailed and executed.

there was confirmed vet too, we got them lynched.

1. Claim Inv
2. A correct result of the first dead guy
3. Random results after that

In my recent experience, people who announce that they're doused are either jesters, or arsonists trying to pretend to be jesters. The case of an ignorant player saying it unironically is extremely rare.

That said, I would expect most towns to at least raise the question of whether you're an Arsonist or a Jester.

I prefer to stay silent, when they blame me, I defend myself strongly and they lynch me.
If you don't defend yourself, they realize that you are jester.
Trust me, it works.

Just claim Vigilante witched into an immune and you'll instantly be lynched by a town hoping to remove a Witch's weapon.

I hate it when you claim sheriff, and you claim that someone is guilty, get them lynched, and then find out they are guilty... and then do it again... and then again... and then ask town if they can lynch you for all the good service you've done and they are like "O_o your jest?" and then don't vote you up. After all the service I did to that town being a better sheriff than the sheriff all I ask is you put a rope around my neck... but no. And I just lost.
