joke voting once you've won is not right

Has anyone been in a game where it's down to the final numbers and one side pretty much has it in tow? Like there's 2 mafs and 1 non-mayor town, or 1 mayor, 1 town and 1 maf? And the right thing to do would be to vote in the day? But then someone votes for the opposite team. Like a maf voting innocent or a mayor voting innocent. And then everyone freaks the shit out and r like "r u going to gamethrow" "pls vote guilty" but then the person is like "lol, did i scare u?" "did it for the lols" and although they do vote the right person in the end, am I the only one that think it's not right?

I just think it's wrong because people could lose connection anytime, and ToS is one of those games where if you've lost connection it's generally pretty hard to reconnect. If you joke vote, and then someone loses connection you could lose majority and then lose the game for your team. I just think that strategy isn't right and almost akin to gamethrowing because if you KNOW there's a threat of disconnection loss and then game loss and continue to do that, it's ruining your team's otherwise perfect chances of winninga nd therefore gamethrowing.

Same goes for maf not attacking last town in the night to scare other mafs. I always hate that strategy, what are other people's thoughts on it?

I had a game that we were left with 4 coven and 2 players who we knew were immune to attacks, I was medusa and couldnt visit. The rest of the coven decided to not vote on the last day, when 4 votes were needed to lynch (even though we had already attacked both the other 2 guys), surprise surprise, next day 3 coven were burnt and it was me vs 2 arsos.

Cocky players exist. Players who cant think 1 day ahead exist. Players who cant count to 4 exist.

As for not attacking the last townie, trapper is a thing (in coven at least) so sometimes voting them is better than killing them

I agree with what op said. It annoys me to no end when people do that because I have been in the receiving end of a veteran offing me at night when we could've voted him in the day. People who find this hilarious seriously need to recheck their sense of humour.

me and other mafia usually plan to meme at the end of the game because it's fun to watch them rethink if you are mafia or not. Same with surv in all any, you give it to the most deserving and you make that surv claim when there is an sk and myself (the surv) suffer.

Basically what I'm saying is...

why is this is strategy if it is memevoting when you've won this isnt strategy

I have no idea what you just said cause I don't really play coven but I get the gist of it. Cocky players who joke vote shouldn't be allowed urgh :P

Glad to see it bothers other people too :)

This feels very doomsday scenario. While you are correct in saying that the risk is there, it is pretty unlikely as that stage of the game will only take 30 seconds maximum. This is not something I do, but I do not think it is as big of a deal as you.

It is not a big deal, UNLESS there are still unknown elements in the game. Such as 1 town and 2 maf left and we don't know what town is left and stuff like that.

It's happened to me enough times it irks me when I see it. It's usually not disconnecting however, but rather someone thinking they've won, and then leaving the game to afk on another browser. They would have won except some jackass (soz not soz) in the team wanted to memevote, so they couldn't lynch someone even tho the person who left voted guilty and thought it was a sure win afterwards so they went to do stuff on another browser. (Not everyone wants to play tos back to back). Then when their jokestar teammate goes to vote for real this time, their team member is afk, and then town/the opposing team, ends up winning at the end.

I've been through a handful of situations like that (3-5 roughly) and it's 3-5 too many. Very frustrating when it's your team :L
