What can I do as Executioner with an easy confirmed target?

Postby eriel9 » Wed Apr 10, 2019 8:28 am

Maybe it's just me, but I really need help with this one. Easily confirmed targets by day 2 or 3 is what I have a problem with sometimes. This includes Lookouts, Retri, Trans, and occasionally veterans. I have never really known what I can do to try and get them lynched, so I usually rely on having them killed by someone else and trying to help the evils in anyways that I can. I mean, I guess I can do more as jester when your target is confirmed before you can even do anything to try and frame them. Any advice on what I can do?

Honestly. Acting like any kind of Investigative or Interrogating role is helpful. My strategy, I hate to give away my best secret, is asking my target directly if they got a good role. And then after reply immediately reply with, "yeah well you show up as sk" and that basically seals their fate. If you do it as early as day 2 you can probably get away with it.

I often act like a half assed townie hoping I'll fit in and then become suspicous about the time the target dies. My favourite is early claiming sheriff, posting a "will" the first few days then not bothering, espeicaly when my target dies.

Altenrtively you can pretned to be with town then lynch your target while evils gain majoirty, possibly offering allegiance to the faction that doess so.

Or try and blitzkrieg them up and guilty, but that's risky, espeically against good players.

Edit: Final Resort stratergy. If you're target is confirmed and the other evils are incompetent, unlikely to kill him or leaving, you coud simply explain to town and ask, espeiclaly if the game has been an utter curbstomp in town's favour. No garuntees this will work and you should only try this if the evils are screwed and you have no real hope of winning otherwise

Nothing. But really..

There are only 2 ways for you to win here..
- help Evils get majority and ask them to hang your target
- get your target killed by night by luck or pressing and get yourself hung

A way would be to claim Investigative role, ask a Vig to shoot your target, get turn into Jester and hung. But situational kind of.
RNG is never good for any strategy based game. Please learn the definition of what that means, especially if you're one of the people constantly defending it.

You can use a transporter excuse and try to use some weird metaplay, but chances are it won't work and you'll have to wait till late game

Try to help evils so when you get majority, you can vote up the target.

Mhmm... either that or try setting up yourself as suspicious if you think that your target is going to die soon. If you can't lynch your target might as well prepare for a jester play.
