Anti Scumreading

I think the biggest problem plaguing mid-tier mafias is they don't know how to kill. More often than not, Godfathers are just randoming. If you can scumread as town, do anti scumreading as mafia! Yes you already know mafia, but you don't know neutrals and you don't know who is the best town unless you actively pay attention. Mafia doesn't even have to play that well during the day if they pick critical targets on the right nights. Unfortunately mafias are usually apathetic because "mafia is boring". But when you first started playing mafia-style games, wasn't deciding who to kill the most strategic and exciting part?

pr hunting is where you look for people who arent cit, in tos it would be more looking for powerful roles like vig, bodyguard, retri and jailor
neutral hunting is trying to find NEs and NKs
SPKs are Strong Player Kills
these are pretty common things and when it comes to it, well, its just reading but as mafia

problem is, people cant remember more than 3 role claims at a time (and thats a generous estimate). People are scared of hitting claimers because of TPs (because when they play as town they only protect claimers) so they just go rando if TPs havent claimed and hit n hope.

Idk why you call it anti scum reading tho, its just role reading, which normal people do as town anyway.

Strategic targeting is a whole other skill completely

So your strategy to win as maf, in a ranked match, is to get lucky? pfff

target LO first, then TPs. then jailor, then escort. LO will call you out if you target TPs first. TPs are on jailor so they need to die before you hit the jailor...or you waste a night. Escort can also make you waste a valuable night, especially if vigi is smart.

Most TI roles are expendable to town, I mean sure they help, but they kinda have to get lucky to be useful early game, and if youve killed the LO,TPs, jailor and escort, then chances are even if the TIs find you they wont have the numbers to lynch. Medium is also kinda expendable as well as ret after he revived, so randomly hitting these guys isnt going to win you the match.

If you dont know who a role is, instead of leaving n1 as disguiser, maybe make a doc or BG claim day 2 and get a counter claim from the real TP

I think you're not familiar with playing every game under TP/LO meta. Mafia doesn't adjust, trying to do this, and it fails epically.
