Not sure how reliable it would be or if it's been suggested before but...
As Jester, claim Investigator and town read or see peoples claims and list them as your visits, although use Coven invest results in classic or classic results in coven and the two times I played it (once forgetting I was in coven, the other on purpose) I got lynched fairly quickly.

The latter is somewhat obvious and the former might get you "confirmed" if you play it too well. Just make sure the intentional mistake is neither too obvious nor too complicated. I guess it's the most suspicious for an invest claim to just visit bodies.

this would probably work if you claim the gf/bg/arso result, for both ideas

I think a big part of it is knowing the mindset of the other players before trying anything. Probably best not to jump the gun and do anything before day 3.

Act townie enough until D3 to not arise suspicion, but don't act too townie to seem a threat to the Mafia/Coven/Evil faction.

or you can just play better?

There are a few things you can do to avoid being killed N2 and 3 but unless you vetbait you can't do much about N1 though your chances of being hit are low so it's usually fine.

In a typical ranked game. It's a 11/15 chance.
If your name is from 2/5 it's a slightly higher chance based on the games I play

I do not think that is easy as you are asserting it is. The only way you could do anything about dying n1 is deciding whether or not to talk d1 and even that might not change your fate.

What if Jailor doesn't announce in public that you have to reveal?

Claim spy, bug Jailor D1. If other spies exist copy their will if not then just say maf killed person was only visit. If there is LO you die that way or if your bug is wrong you also die

Recently, I was in ranked as Jester and wanted to claim witched D2. I was really surprised when someone else claimed it before me

Surprisingly enough. Asking for Tp/Lo as jester then you proceed to claim Jester gets you a lot of wins.

A good strategy is to say as little as possible, and act like you're voting with town but also acting like you're not. A good example of how to make your voting look sus would be to not vote up a confirmed mafia, but guilty them. Usually, being the only inno/guilty vote during a trial will make people suspect you of being a jester. Also, if you're gonna talk, say something useless. Try not to claim though, if you're gonna claim, claim Sheriff or BG or something sus. TP is a great claim if you know there's an LO, as they'll be almost certain to out you. If you haven't claimed for a while, usually at least 1 day, and is pushed on trial for vfr or whatever reason, make a Sheriff/Invest claim. People will be sus of you for not posting ever as TI and will most likely hang you. Just make sure not to make your fake will blatantly wrong.
