Dracula's Palace with Aggro Jailor

Suppose you are a Vampire Hunter playing Dracula's Palace. A party of 5 join in and you've seen this five before in three ranked practice games, three custom games that had any slots, and a Dracula's Palace game. You don't know much about them other than they hate VFR when NE is alive and they are a quiet bunch early game when they play townies. You don't know their mafia or vampire patterns since they spawned as only townies and jesters the last few times you've played with them.

Night 1, you try to visit someone, but no staking. You are transported.

Day 2, no one seems to be in the mood for claiming or talking much.

Night 2, the Vampires are complaining their Youngest was jailed for two nights in a row and the Jailor is hacking. You dismiss it as a bluff. You visit a different person, and there is no staking.

Day 3, someone declares he is witched. People say if witch knows his role, he should claim anyways so both town and evils know his role instead of just evils and he refuses saying that logic makes 100% sense in Ranked Practice where witch will tell Mafia his role, but Mafia don't even exist here. Someone also claims to have visited the Jailed target and supplies a player. No one disputes this since, hey if she's lying the Jailor would execute her anyways right?

Night 3, you visit a third person, not the guy who claimed witched, but someone quiet. For the third time, there was no kill on your visitor and the Vampires again complain the Jailor is cheating.

Day 4 starts and someone is executed. The Jailor's Death note is "They are too Quiet and won't respond to Questioning" It was a Vampire and his will was "Doctor N1 Jailed. N2 Jailed. N3 WTF Jailor" A different person claimed being witched, it was the guy you visited night 3, and produces a Lookout will. His N2 has two visitors to your N2 target and both you and the other visitor approve of his will. His N3 was "witched target vb" and it was a third player. However, a fourth player complains that his Night 1 has "NV" and he visited that first player. Two people report being transported. The guy who claimed he was witched night 2 is quickly put on the stand and he reveals himself as Mayor. He declares that player who is contradicting the Lookout claim is evil since he put the Mayor up for role for "no good reason"

Night 4, you click on someone and forgot it was the first player you checked anyways. Assuming the Vampires were not bluffing about their Youngest being jailed, he wouldn't be a Vampire since their Youngest was supposedly Jailed three nights. The Vampires are relieved their Youngest was executed and they agree to bite the Lookouts so that the VH would be clueless about visits once those Lookouts have been converted.

Day 5 starts and someone is executed. The Jailor's Death note is "Their confession was contradictory" It was the Witch. In her will was "Vampire Hunter. N1 (guy the Lookout said there was NV N1) Not a vampire, N2 (Vampire who was executed N3) Target Jailed, N3 (the first guy you tried to stake N1 and N4) Not a Vampire, N4 Jailed. WTF This jailor is executing the only VH claim and I knew who was Jailed N2" Everyone was gasping that the Jailor executed the only Vampire Hunter claim. Also, the Lookout who was witched Night 3, the same night you cheeked to see fi he was a Vampire, claimed night 4 he was defended by a bodyguard, supported by a Vampire dying to a Bodyguard and the Bodyguard dying with the Lookout in his will. The Mayor demands to be jailed because he wants a word with the Jailor.

Night 5 starts and you click on the Mayor since you forgot who he was like an idiot.

Day 6, there are no deaths. You immediately announce the Mayor was jailed. The Mayor says this is true and he asked the Jailor some questions. The Jailor had two Lookout claims whisper to him day 4 and both had wills full of "NVs." The Jailor is also suspicious of them since they whispered to him and he didn't claim to anyone until Night 5 when he told the Mayor who he was. Both whispered to four players including the Jailor day 4. Someone also claimed Transported to him day 4 in whispers, but against he was suspicious since he didn't reveal himself. The third Lookout claim was the witched player who claimed publicly. The Vampire who was Jailed N1 was AFK Night 1. This prompted the Jailor to rejail them Night 2 and Night 3 because he thought this could be a Vampire and he was trying to trick the Vampire into revealing the Witch because... well the Mayor never got an adequate explanation from the Jailor as to why jailing the same guy could possibility reveal the Witch.

Speaking of the Witch, the Mayor said the Jailor had crossed off 5 suspects as to "who might be the Witch" and jailed the Witch semi-randomly. The Witch never whispered to the unclaimed Jailor and as far as the Jailor knew, this is just one non-claimer who knew the correct guy Jailed N2. Since the town is full of silent non-claimers, this was not suspicious by itself. When the Witch provided her VH will, he immediately noticed her Night 1 visit contradicted the Lookout claim and executed her on the spot. The Mayor in Jail had asked the Jailor if there was any other VH claims, and the Jailor said the Witch was the only VH claim, no one else claimed that in Jail, in public, or whispers.

The Mayor declares with the Witch dead, claiming in public is no longer detrimental to town, arguing that public claiming is bad when there is an Executioner or Witch, but the witch is dead. He says he has some claims he gathered front the Jailor, but he wants three people to claim and he names them. You are not one of them. The Mayor attempts to start a voting.

People quickly sidetrack the Mayor. The Lookout who was attacked previous says he was attacked yet again, this time he was healed by a Doctor. He say the Jailor made the correct decision since there was absolutely no way that Witch's VH will could be true because he knew no one visited that guy N1. Other players immediately come out and ask what the Jailor was thinking executing the only Vampire Hunter claim, since the Lookout might be a Jester trying to get hung. Someone throws out "is killing the only Vampire Hunter claim a good idea???"

The Mayor gets sidetracked and says in Custom Games with a town majority but with Mafia and any slots, it could make sense. If a VH claim has 3 nights he visited people (as in not Jailed or roleblocked), and hasn't staked anyone by then and even mafia hasn't killed a Vampire in the same time, the VH claim was probably bogus. His logic is that with 2 sources of night deaths (the VH and Mafia), and being scrutinized by town during the day to avoid lynches, Vampires almost certainly would have one of them killed by the time the VH got to use three night actions. If there are no Vampire deaths by then, even if it's a Vampire game the VH is probably bogus since between lynches, Mafia, and VH one of them would be dead. Since in those cases the Mafia are known to exist and the town is known to have a majority, the reason for no Vampire deaths is that there are no other visiting roles killing Vampires.

At the end of the day the Mayor was like "Oh, someone tried to transport me from Jail. Don't ask me who the Jailor is since even if I trust you I can't whisper anyways"

Night 6 you stake the Lookout claim who claimed to have been healed by a Doctor. Nothing happened.

Day 7 starts and someone claims to have been attacked in jail.

Assuming you don't D/C at this point and start raging at your internet connection, what is the best way to proceed at this point? You have not successfully gotten a Vampire to bite you all game. Also the Jailor seems to be on the aggro side, executing the only VH claim he had and you don't even know who the damn guy is.

This seems oddly specific. Having never played Dracula's Palace, I don't know how to reply. The best I can come up with is just to stake random people until you eventually stake a vampire.

claim LO, stake the LO claims. Vamps would want to target LO's first (so their youngest doesnt get continually RBed or jailed) then TPs, then the jailor. Wanna bait a vamp? think like a vamp...

Town have a high chance of winning provided that their Vampire Hunter doesn't mess up. I'd generally avoid fakeclaiming as VH, as imo it's not really worth risking getting lynched or shot by Vigilante. If you do get voted up, you can explain that you fakeclaimed to bait the Vampires, but evil roles will likely counter-claim you and push hard to attempt to get you guiltied at all costs.

The biggest problems the Town faces are the Witch and the Jester. If Witch can survive until lategame, it can utilise Vigilante to help evils gain majority, and keep VH controllled to stop them from staking any Vampires. Luckily for Town, the rolelist has barely any claimspace, so finding and eliminating the Witch can often be done quite early. Jester isn't as big a threat, provided that the Vampire Hunter knows to vote innocent on any lynches, at least at the start of the game.
Just some Sheriff who didn't claim until Day 5, and has no leads whatsoever

No need to be alarmed...

You talking about the general situation or the Original Post? Cause most Jailors don't exe their only VH claim.

Most of my post was more relevant in response to the tactic kyuss suggested, I should have quoted him to make that more clear as not everything was applicable to the OP.

I still think fakeclaiming Lookout would be way too risky. With established Lookout claims already present as well as the presence of such an aggressive Jailor makes trying a bait like this even riskier; they'd probably be less amenable when you try to explain the strategy in jail. Unless you were certain that Vampires would gain majority and attempt to lynch the VH the next day unless they mistakenly attempted to bite the VH, taking a risk like this would be crazy. Which does not seem to be the case here.

Regarding n4, the player would not be a Vampire anyway because no Vampires had been killed up to that point and Dracula's Palace always starts with max vampires.

I would say there is a bit more nuance and strategy to it than that, but I suppose that is as good a way to go about it as any other. I'd say the first night, yes, entirely random guess. But, of course, as the game progresses what happens each day and night should inform your decision as much as possible.
