TK wills

i never write a "standard" will as vigi/vet because what's the point of a nightly will for roles with a limited ability they (probably) won't use every night? i keep getting flamed for it on stand, so how do you write your wills as tk?

my vigi wills look like this:
Deodat the Vigi
Bullet 1: Giles, voted the mayor and won't claim
Bullet 2: John, obvious jester
Bullet 3: Mary, no room for RT


and my vet wills look like this (sometimes i won't post at all)
Deodat the Vet
Alerts left: 3, 2, 1, 0....


if i get transed, jailed, healed etc i'll put it in a little notes section (Healed N2; Jailed N4) where i also put claims and scumreads. other than that my tk wills are pretty scarce which town really, really likes to use as a crutch for an insta-lynch. am i doing something wrong here?

if you use any deviation from the standard willset you will be lynched. dont.

I can't even remember the last time I've ever been hanged as a Town member when the evils didn't have a majority. Be active in the chat and claim when necessary, especially as a Vigilante, which is hard to prove without killing yourself.

No, you are 100% right. I use a similar strategy.
A town who votes based only on wills and not information given by other players deserves to lose.
I'd be interest to hear more about why you get voted to the stand in the first place. Usually, it does not matter what you say because most people vote guilty without thinking unless someone says otherwise.

a good 90% of the time it's an invest who checked me and the rest of town going "vig/vet/maf? must be evil" or jumping on a vote bandwagon (led by mafia or otherwise). it's kinda the same as playing bg, people see gf/arso in the results and get lynch-happy especially because bg is "the" gf/arso claim. it doesn't matter how solid your defense is when half the town thinks vig claim = automatic mafioso

if you were visited by town and or mafia when you are veteran, you don't need a will......

only noobs ask for wills in that situation, you are already proven.

As mentioned earlier, Vigi and Vet should never need a will to confirm themselves. Instead, the former has to shoot someone (e.g. a Jester, which they generally do), while the latter needs to get someone to visit them while they alert. Those roles don't work with information (TIs and Mediums) and are not freely-visiting (TPs and Transporter, though trans is easy to confirm), so they have nothing to fill their wills with (other than RT1 - [x], RT2 - [x], RT3 - [x]). Town is bad if they lynch you solely on wills.

I would recommend to write days you alerted, helps to weed out fake claims.Keep a list of RT in will too

Example

N1:No Alert
N2:Alert:Killed XYZ(Janitor) and ABC(Mafioso)
N3:No Alert

RT 1: Vigilante
RT 2: Lookout
RT 3: Mayor

Now if a fake claimer posts his will and the will says he visited you night 2 then it will be a safe lynch/exe.
