It’s been a while since I’ve played this game, but I just thought of an interesting strategy for a niche situation, and I want to know if it’s any good, and maybe even if someone’s done this before
The situation is: you’re a town, but you’re not a doctor (or at least, you’re not the only doctor) You’ve been attacked, but you’ve also been healed.
The strategy: the next day, you say that you were attacked, but you healed yourself.
The goal: since doctors can only heal themselves once. the person who attacked you thinks that you are a sitting duck next round and attacks you again. Meanwhile, the doctor who actually healed you realizes you’re baiting, and so they heal you again. This results in the mafia and/or the neutral killer wasting another night, and it buys the town a little more time.
Shortcomings: like I said, this could only work in specific situations. It also relies on you not claiming a role already (since you’ll have to claim doctor now), and the town won’t trust you when you claim your actual role in the future (“no guys, I’m really sheriff. I only said I was a doctor to trick the mafia”). Additionally, this plan relies on the doctor understanding what your trying to do. If they don’t, they may not heal you, or worse, they may cc and try to get you lynched. And again, I haven’t played in a while, so there could be a rule change that renders this strategy pointless for all I know.
i do it all the time.... why would i give evils the information about when i self healed? as doc i put self heal in my will on an early night, when nothing happened, to induce evils to waste a night on me. (same as vet, always put alerted n1-2-3)
helps when people are used to you lieing, as town, and recognise a play when they see one tho.

thats not what we are talking about tho :/
same/same faking doc claim to draw the 2nd attack.... he did say the original player could be a doc and lie about using his self heal to draw the 2nd attack after being healed by a 2nd doc in game

this is a good idea tbh, but due to the chance of a dumb town mislynching you, it should only be used if you trust the town to listen to reason in the worse case scenario. this is because a doctor can misunderstand the reason for you lying, even with TK confirmed or NK dead/actively killing (so there wouldve been no one else to attack you). sadly you have to consider that people arent as clever as you hope with fake claiming as town
but i like this idea, it sets up the mafia to lose another night's kill nearly every time in the right situation, as at some point they will see no harm in attacking you with the hidden doc on you
That's what I was thinking. As the dumb doctor just comes out and says NO I HEALED YOU! This is scum and lynch you on the stand. Not only does that ruin the plan but it could cause 2 TP kills
Today is the first day I changed my signature after 2 full years. Unfortunately I have no idea what to write here. General Salem Community Accomplishments. ~~Master Elo Ranked Player: 2.1k Elo~~ I'm also a damn Sunflower, Deal with it.

Though it is possible A doctor healed themselves and Also healed by Another Doctor . So Another Doctor outing self make no sense Obviously it is not possible to predict How bad players can be , saying This as A Player Mislynched once for saying RBed as Escort before Claiming my role . That was in Ranked Practice as I remember .
No Doctor with half a brain (unless outed) would publicly claim attacked and self-healed, but the bar is low with the playerbase so it might work.
You also have to rely on the Mafia/NKs to be braindead and fall for the bait AND the real Doctor to realize you're baiting or else it wouldn't do anything.
