Firefighter (Town Protective)

Role Name: Firefighter
Role Alignment: Town Protective
Abilities: Prevent a person to be ignited each night.
Attributes:
You can not be ignited.
You will know if your target was doused or ignited.
Win Conditions:
Wins with Town and Survivors

Goal: Lynch every criminal and evildoer

Investigation Results:
Sheriff-Not Suspicious

Investigator- BG/GF/Arso/FF

Consigliere-Your target saves people from fire. They must be a Firefighter

I do not think this would make a good role in-game as it only counters Arso, which does not need countering as it is the weakest role in the game.

Arsonist is already hard to win as so why would you create a role to counter it? If you can answer that, I will support this role. Otherwise, I sadly don't see how this could realistically work.

Anyway this role is wrong because Neutral Killers don't need counters, they are hard to win roles. Arsonist is the hardest NK imo, so nerfing it with this isn't the way to go.

This role is terrible.

1.I always thought arso was pretty easy when claiming doc.

Because vampires can constantly bite new vampires. Without a vampire hunter the town would need to perfectly lynch all vampires perfectly so that they eventually die out.

Arsonist on the other hand is one poor pyromaniac who can't convert others into arsonists.

Roles Not To Make:

Firefighter - A role built to put out the douses of the Arsonist
Copycat - Any role that uses other role's night abilities
Postmortem Lookout - Any role that can see who visited a dead player
Survivor Rehash - Any Neutral Benign role whose only goal is to survive to the end of the game
Buddy - Any role that requires another specific person to survive to win
Role Swapper - Any role that swaps/changes others' roles
Visitor - Any role that has a win condition involving visiting other players
Silver Bullet - A role that can shoot an evil without finding the evil
Old Spy - Any role that can read the Mafia chat
Necromancer - An evil Retributionist that can revive a dead teammate

What is the first thing on the list.

This is weaker than the older Firefighter idea, though, in that it can only save one person during an ignite, not one person every night.

Which just makes it worse, imo.

VH was a Kickstarter role.
I don't think many (active) people here on the forums think it's well-balanced.

I certainly don't. It suffers from the same problems Spy had when it could read maf chat and it's a hard-counter, which is just awful.

Well you should of done a https link.

Vampires are bad. Vampire hunters are bad. Dracula's Palace is basically a confirmed vamp win. The game is a hellscape already and if a firefighter is in the game it confirms there is an arsonist and shouldn't be in the game.

If you really read that post on role ideas you would know about the way you present it.
