[NOVEL ROLE!] Fugitive

Postby wsuh » Fri Jan 18, 2019 3:40 pm

Role Name: Fugitive

Lore: This is a punitive role given to certain players who violate rules of the game, such as game throwers. As a punishment, the player will keep receiving this role every game until they win using this role. This role is given in place of a ban for first time offenders or less serious minor offenders. This role is also given to players after they serve out the temp ban. Repeat offenders may need to win multiple games until they stop receiving this role. This role can spawn in classic game in place of a Jester or Executioner. In ranked or ranked practice, this role can spawn as a neutral evil role. Hopefully forcing offenders to play this terrible and boring role (probably for a long time until they get a lucky win) will deter them from committing further offenses.

Role Alignment: Neutral Evil

Abilities: None

Attributes: You cannot use the chat

Notifications: You are an ex-convict who has violated the rules of the game

Goal: Stay alive until the end of the game and watch the town lose the game

Win Conditions: Town must lose the game. Must be alive at the end of the game.

Special Attributes: Immunity - none

Investigator Results:
Sheriff - Your target is suspicious.
Investigator - Your target could be a Bodyguard, Godfather, Arsonist, or Fugitive
Consigliere - Your target is a convict who recently escaped from prison. They must be a Fugitive.

Achievements: Other players can get special achievement (Justice Served) for lynching or killing fugitives.

Additional Information: Identical to the survivor role, but without the protective vests, cannot communicate with other players, and the town must lose in order to claim victory

no

people's winrates shouldn't be punished for breaking rules and it ruins other players' experiences

I beg to differ

after losing several consecutive games because teammate decided to leave on day 1, i believe its best to punish gamethrowers by affecting their win rate

Yes but having fugitives in game messes with the experience of other players

This is unnecessary. There's already a system in place to punish players who break rules. Also, as previously stated by other people, it impacts other player experiences.
