Currently Lookout is one of the strongest Town roles because they are central to the TP/LO strategy being able to confirm TPs, Spy and other LO, even Escorts if so desired. Especially in those games were town has also a Spy and NK is not an Arso. Having so many confirmed roles along with the other easily confirmable roles like Jailor, Vet, Mayor, Ret, Transporter can mean Town wins the game without even having to try.
So here's my idea of breaking this strategy by nerfing Lookout.
Abilities:
Watch one person at night to see who visits them. If there are 3 or more visitors you will learn no names but only the amount of visitors.
The Lookout will get a notification along the lines of:
There were so many visitors you could not keep track of their faces. You only remember there were X visitors.
A Spy will be able to see this notification.
The LO themself will not count against this limit (LOs don't see themself visit anyway).
This enables Mafia to send their RM on the Jailor (or whoever asks for TP/LO) to effectively roleblock any Lookouts. It also automatically breaks the strategy in cases where town has "too many" roles that are TP/LO/Spy/Escort.
This also enables Mafia to "cover their tracks" by sending both RM on their kill target.
If you think Mafia should not be able to do that we can increase the minimum number of visitors to 4, which should still work. It should not be any higher than that.
