Alignment: Mafia (Support)
Attack: None | Defense: None
Description: You are a corrupt statesman allied with organized crime.
Abilities: Intervene in a person's trial or getting jailed.
Attributes:
- The person you choose to intervene will not get trialed or jailed on that day or night.
- You may intervene on the behalf on fellow Mafia members but cannot do so to yourself.
- You only have three interventions.
- You cannot intervene on behalf of the same target more than once.
- You must wait a day between interventions.
Investigative results: Your target is a Investigator, Consigliere, Mayor, Tracker, Plaguebearer, or Politician.
Consigliere/Coven Leader/Witch results: Your target is an influential man allied with the Mafia. They must be a Politician.
Special attributes: Unique role
Note: Politician is intended to be useful for endgame/midgame to give Mafia time to gain Majority.
My own backstory to politician:
Spoiler: Long ago the politician had entered politics with the ambition of becoming Mayor and making Salem the most prosperous Town ever. However he lost thrice in the elections, no matter how hard he tried. He figured out that the reason was that his opponents were from rich families, where as he was the son of a poor Bodyguard, and his father had been killed when he was 15. However through more than a decade of campaigning, he finally gained influence and power. But now he would not use it for the Town. No, he would not use it for those who did not care for how much he loved the Town. He would use it against them. Through his influence he tracked the Mafia. The Godfather, too, considered him as a worthy ally who could help the Mafia in times of trouble. With both seeing their goals being accomplished, they joined hands and the Politician became the Mafia's member.

its very OP late game but the ability is very hard to use its basically delay mafia members death a day but u have to predict the night before and doing so outs them has mafia so its very risky but strong

this can also out mafia members who weren't suspected if used prematurely if the person whose this role is inexperienced, or can just be used to troll

Well technically trolls can also troll as other roles(i.e gamethrowing), by revealing their role if they're evil or betraying their faction, and then, every role has a strategy and players do need experience, and this one's strategy is to use it at the right time. e.g if on Day 6 Town finds out the last 3 Mafia and say "lets lynch 7 first and then 10" and on Day 7 they cannot lynch him. However I understand lynching is an important factor for Town, so the trials do not stop, only 1 out of three trials is used up, they can still lynch other people except the one that the politician has intervened on the behalf of.

If you mean Mayor/Jailor, yes it does, but it only has 3 interventions, with a one day gap and only one can be used for a Mafia member so it still wouldn't affect them that much.
