Jailor may reveal himself like Mayor. After revealing Jailor wears one bulletproof vest, which gives him Basic defense until he is attacked. Note that if he is attacked and protected/healed/purged his vest will not be used. Jailor cannot be whispered to or whisper after reveal.

That's the reason why some people like to transfer Jailor to Tpow.

Agreed.
Making Jailor reveal as Jailor is useless since claiming Jailor yourself with a will is enough to prove yourself.
This just nerfs late game 2v2 or such games when Evils will claim as jailor when you dont have exes to lynch the true jailor.
