Name: Night Watcher

Alinement: Town (Killing)

Stats: Attack: Powerful Defense: None

Abilities:Watch over a player's house at night. If your second target visits your first, you will assassinate the second target.
Watch over your own home once

Attributes:
None?

Invest results:
Sheriff: Your target is Not suspicious!
Invest: Your target could be a: LookoutNight WatcherForger or Witch
Consig: Your target is an armed lookout! beware, they must be the sentry


Lore:
A Artifical creation, not feeling pain nor joy the night watcher was an average sentry who went about gaurding the town's museam. It was supposed to be like this untill the end of time, untill one day, a fire started in the museam! It saw a lone figure running away with a fuel canister and torch. The night watcher killed the arsonist without second thought. however, the ledge where he was sniping collapsed, leading him to a firey doom. The world turned black around him as It lost consiousness. A few hours later he woke up, slighty damaged from the fire he saw who saved him: Cheif fire fighter,
Fluffy. For the first time he felt emotion, gratitude. A few nights later, when he was off duty, he decided to Gaurd his friend from then on. From that time on he was known as a Night watcher.

Note: I delibrately did not set up a poll! I did not set up a poll cuz i felt like you could comment on why its bad! Really open to feedback!

so you pick two people

one person who you will kill if they appear? and then another person's house to watch and if the other person appears you kill them?

please clarify this , your in game example of nights is very inconsistent you pick no one else n1 but then n2 you pick two people it makes no sense

So does it work like...

Person a: Escort
Person b: Sk

You watch over Person a and then you choose person b, if person b visits person a, you kills the sk? I think this is too op... What if you kill a town member? do you get a penalty?

Your understanding of the role is correct.
If you kill a town member, the town member dies, other than that, not sure what happens. What penalty can i implement? how do i nerf it?

this shouldn't save the person just kill the person since since its TK, saving someone make no sense if its TK

this one of the few TK roles where i'm ok that role as powerful attack because its hard to set up, this shouldn't save the person too though it would be an OP TK/TP hybrid

I agree with this, change it to tk, and make it so that if you kill a town member your powerful attack becomes basic (?)

you dont explain this well enough at explain how the first person is whos house you watch and the second person is who you kill if they visit the house your watching

this is very fair i like this its a worse vig killing wise since it needs to predict who the person they want to kill will visit, but can solo kill NK and GF without dying like bg or set up / negative collateral like trapper or crusader

/support this role is very simple idea but balanced not sure on the name though maybe call it sentinel instead of night watcher

Now, i had a thought related to this role that would be it would

Be changed back to TP
Would be able to protect a player (A) from another player (B)
However, after a succesful protect, he would have a one day cool down to protect (to "recharge")

What do you think?

(Yea i get it may be similar to trapper)

Hunter was a fine name avilability-wise. One wich fwogcarf was referencing to is not a tested role.

This role doesn't seem that bad, and could potentially come in clutch for the town endgame.
2 suggestions, first, change the invest results no investigator will learn anything if youre given 5 different roles, and second, change the thread title so that its easier for people to know what role it is

Lookout, Forger, Witch/Coven Leader, Nightwatcher. This result is the only one with less than 4 role. Adding another Town role would be perfect.
