Chainmaster (Neutral Killing)

Role Name: Chainmaster
Role Alignment: Neutral Killing
No Defense / Basic Attack

Ability: Create a death chain.
Attributes:
- Attack someone, creating a death chain
- If you stayed at home, the chains will guard you giving you a powerful defense and appear as executioner.
- Town will be alerted if you will attack this night.

Death chain (can someone make a clear description?)

Example:
Chainmaster visits A. A visits B. B visits C. C visits D. D stays at home
Chainmaster kills A, B, C, and D.

Goal: Kill everyone who oppose you.

Wins with: Witch, Survivor

Messages:
Town alert: "You heard the chains clinking. Chainmaster will attack tonight!"
Death: "You are chained to death!"
Death message: "was chained by Chainmaster last night."

Investigation Results
while at home: see Executioner
while attacking:
Sheriff/Consig/Witch/CL: Your target is a Chainmaster!
Investigator: Survivor/VH/Witch/Chainmaster

Special Attributes:
- roleblock immune
- Unique role
- Day button: Attack tonight
- Investigatives see Chainmaster while attacking.
- At home, you will appear as an executioner to investigatives.
- Roleblocking removes chains (removes immunity and executioner disguise)
- You are immune to your attacks (except if CL/Witch/Trans targets you)

So basically, if you target someone, they get attacked by the person they targeted, then the person they targeted gets attacked by the person the other guy targeted?

this is way to swingy

visit meduim spy vet kill no one

vist LO who visits mafasio who visits tracker who vistis BG who visits mayor

suddenly you killed 5 people

its cool idea and waaaay to swingy to a viable role idea

if it visits a role that can't visit no deaths happen late game this role automatically loses town will just not visit anyone so you can't kill anyone, this role is to swingy and easily counterable it doesn't work

This could either be very powerful or very unlucky. It's an interesting idea though. One problem though. What happens in a 1 versus 1 scenario if Chainmaster is up against something non-visiting, like Psychic? Does the game Draw?

doesn't even matter if its a psychic all town has to do is not visit anyone when last evil alive is this role and its a draw no matter what at best at worst town has the vote to hang you and takes the time to figure out who you are then hanging you by not visiting anyone

If CM will visit a non-visiting role, they will be dealt by a basic attack.

It's like an SK every full moon but with multiple attacks.

Any suggestions to nerf this?

oh in that case the role is beyond OP since it guaranteed at least .5 kills and can easily get 3-5 kills by chaining visits

This is super OP, and is just a buffed version of Werewolf. Only 9 out of the 48 roles stay inside their house, so you'd have to be very unlucky until your target visits a person who does not have a night ability.

What if in one situation, this happens:

1= Invest, 2= Blackmailer, 3= Lookout, 4= Arsonist, 5= Witch, 6= Mafioso, 7= Janitor

Chain master starts by killing 1.
1 visits 2, then 2 blackmails 3, 3 lookouts 4, 4 douses 6, 6 kills 5, 5 controls 7

You basically killed all of them.

Supposedly it deals Basic Damage, so it would stop at the arso.

This role is really swingy, especially if the role list has a low amount of visiting roles. This is a good concept but it's really swingy.

Town will be alerted making them have second thoughts to visit at night giving a game an exciting aura.
This attack do not pierce night immunity.
The Chainmaster is not immune when they attack.

so this isn't overpowered

It's warning ability needs to be a DAY ability, else human response time would become a mechanic, and that has never been the case with this game.
You can select a name at the last second, and nobody would be able to react to the ability, even if they're looking for it.

Not to mention give an advantage to players with perfect Ping.

EDIT: How about my idea? WW has invincible defense on full moon nights, but none otherwise.
This role can have basic immunity every night, but powerful not attacking.

its like a buffed serial killer. whoever you visit dies that's atleast 1 kill per night sometimes 2-4 and with powerful defense whenever he wants? omg what if you attack someone who is attacking you?
