Inspired by the Thieves Guild created by @AegonSnow.

This is my take on a New Gamemode which involves key aspects created by him and developing them to the point where it seems more likely to got added.

The mechanics I mention in this post are exclusive to this gamemode only as well as others if possible.

What is the Gamemode about?:
Spoiler: This gamemode will feature a new mechanic called the coin system. This works a bit differently to the normal mechanics but that will be explained.

Here are all the different mechanics explained:

-At the start of the game, each player starts with 5 coins. During the start of each following day, each player is given 2 coins.

-Player's may put forward a number of coins they own to put someone on trial (Only during the voting phase). 1 vote is worth 1 coin. At the start of day 2, It will take 10 coins to put someone on trial. If you put a number of coins forward, you cannot get them back.

-If a Player runs out of real coins, then they are sent to prison (basically a remake of the graveyard).

-Player's may donate up to 10 coins to other player's during the discussion phase and player's will see donations in the form of Whispers (a player has donated coins to ___). Roles that can hear whispers will know how much coins are donated from 1 player to another. A player cannot donate all their coins at once.

I've also thought that this idea fits in with the TOS theme since you can put the character's in TOS in context with moneymaking and business.

New Role Mechanics:
Spoiler: -Escorts and Consorts get 1 coin for each time they block someone. The Consort steals the coin from their target.

-If the first person votes a player of an opposing faction up to the stand and successfully lynches them, they receive half of the lynched player's coins.

-If a killing role manages to kill someone, then they obtain half of the victim's coins.

-If a player only possesses fake coins, they are sent to prison, these fake coins count as real coins when being checked by roles who determine how much coins a player has.

-If a player is successfully protected from an attack, then that player must pay 5 coins (or less if it would get rid of all of their coins) to the Doctor/Banker. If they were protected by a Bodyguard but the Bodyguard dies guarding them, then all of the Bodyguard's coins are given to the player who they protected.

-If the Jailor or a Vigilante kill a Town member, then they will lose all of their coins (and go to prison).

-All other Town(Killing) roles do not receive half of their victim's coins if the victim was a Town member.

-The Retributionist can bail someone out of prison by paying 20 coins. The bailed player receives 5 coins.

-Blackmailed targets cannot donate coins to other players.

-If a non-killing ability with limited uses is successful, the player who used the ability gains 3 coins.

-If a Mafia member dies, all of their money (that isn't stolen by other roles) are added to the current Godfather's (Mafioso if there is no Godfather) coin count.

-If a Mafia member is promoted through the current Mafia(Killing) dieing, then the Promoted Mafia member receives all that player's coins.

Role Changes/Additions:
Spoiler: -The Mayor's coins are tripled when they reveal. They can also give themselves Powerful Defense up to 2 times per game if they pay 15 coins while revealed.

The Transporter can switch the coin totals of the player's they transport (including their own).

The Medium will be rename to Warden, and the Retributionist will be renamed to Withdrawer.

-The Godfather may select someone during the day to make a deal with. The Godfather will let them live if they pay the amount of money that the Godfather charges (A maximum of 10 coins can be charged and can only be charged once per person) otherwise they will be targeted the following night. The player will receive the trade offer during the start of the following night.

-The Pirate steals all of their targets coins when they successfully plunder them instead of half their coins. The Pirate must survive until the game is over aswell as plundering 2 people.

-There must be 15 players before the game can start.

-There will also be a Custom and All Any version of this game mode as well.

Gamemode Exclusive Role Ideas::
Spoiler:
You are the Banker
You are a friendly merchant who protects the safety of people's coins at any cost

You are the Counterfeiter
You were a scammer who escaped execution for commiting Fraud

You are the Loan Shark
You are a wicked being who uses business as a tool to wrongfully punish people


Investigator: Your target deals with money, they could be a Banker, Counterfeiter or Loan Shark.

Consigliere:

-Your target is an expert at finance, they must be a Banker!
-Your target is in possession of illegal currency, they must be a Counterfeiter!
-Your target isn't your friendly creditor, they must be a Loan Shark!

There's no reason for GF to not charge someone 15 coins every time.

Consort stealing coins goes against the entire point of Consort. Consort exists to make Escort not 100% confirmed. If you're roleblocked and lose a coin you know there's a Consort, and if you don't you know it's an Escort.

A idea for new gamemode? This is something new!

Why does the consort only steal a coin and not the escort?

The GF thing is pretty stupid tbh, a max of 15 for not killing is pretty bad for non-mafias.

Lowered it down to 10 coins, and can only be used once per person. The Godfather can choose to spare someone by making them a deal that requires them to give thier coins to the GF. However, without the high cost, the GF will keep having to accept the deals.

In real life, Consorts usually get paid for going out with people, especially stealing things through the art of distraction. If it really messes up the balance that much, i can remove the stealing coin bit of the ability

Escorts usually get paid too, so that point is moot. Either they both do, or neither of them do.

Yes, the Prison is equivalent to the graveyard. In real life you can talk to other prisoners, Prisoners aren't released that often by being bailed out. Also would make sense with this gamemode.

Change the name "Medium" to "Warden", fits better since it's a prison right?

Oh yeah, that reminds me. Trading seems like an aspect that nobody would really do, except maybe Mafia to Mafia. So seeing trades is just like seeing whispers, an awful idea that makes teamwork for scum a lot harder than it's meant to be.

Yeah, there probably doesn't really need to be a Trading phase.

Just make it so you can give other people coins during the Discussion phase would probably work better.


Also the Role List

Why not make it Non-Town Faction Leader, and three unspecified members of the same faction. (so it can be played with coven)

I see Coven as a Magical Witch faction who controls others to dominate the Town, I wouldn't see it in a game mode which involves coins sadly.

This gamemode is gonna feature the exclusive roles in the rolelist rather than a ranked setup so the chance of getting those exclusive roles and trying them out is higher.
