Role Idea - Purge

Role Name: Purge

Role Alignment: Neutral Chaos

Role Wheel Message:
You are a top-notch detective with a hatred for evil and supernatural abilities.
or
You are a detective and supernatural vigilante shunned by the Town.
Abilities:

Each night, you may select one player to research. You will learn their role. If that player cannot win with the Town, is framed/hexed/doused or has visited you, you will pass judgement upon them, attacking them with an Astral visit. If a Mafia role is disguised as a role that can win with the Town you will not pass judgement.


Attributes:

- The Town opposes you, therefore you must eliminate them, despite only being able to kill suspicious people and those who visit you.
- If a Bodyguard protects your target they will live however you and the Bodyguard will not be harmed.
- If a player visits you, you will be informed of their role and an icon will appear next to their name. You are always able to attack players who have visited you.
- A Doctor or Potion Master cannot save a victim of the Purge, however a Guardian Angel can. A Guardian Angel cannot purge the effect of having visited you.
- Framed targets show up as Framer, Hexed targets show up as Hex Master and Doused targets show up as Arsonist.
- Disguised targets will show up as the role they are disguised as
- When you Research a target you will receive the same message as a Consigilere or Witch/Coven Leader.
- Researching a suspicious/visiting target will roleblock them.
- When choosing a target to research, a screen appears giving you an option to choose the cause of death shown to the Town if that person is suspicious. You can choose any message except suicide. If one is not selected the Town will be shown the Serial Killer message.
- If a Coven Leader/Witch tries to control you, you will pass judgement on them immediately.


Notifications:

(Consigilere/Witch messages)
"You have passed judgement on [player name]! The town believes they died to [chosen cause of death]."
"You were visited by a [role]! Make sure to eliminate them before they eliminate you."
"A mystical power controlled you into killing yourself!" (shown to victim)

Goal: Purge the world of evil and whoever opposes you.

Special Attributes:
Attack: Powerful
Defense: Basic
Detection Immunity
Unique Role

Investigator Results:
Sheriff - Innocent
Investigator - Your target could be a Investigator, Consigilere, Mayor, Tracker, Plaguebearer or Purge.
Consigliere - Your target wants to purify the world of evil. They must be the Purge.

Victory Conditions:
You win with the Purge
You win with Survivors
You must kill the Town
You must kill the Mafia
You must kill the Coven
You must kill Vampires
You must kill Serial Killers
You must kill Werewolves
You must kill Arsonists
You must kill Plaguebearer
You must kill Pestilence
You must kill the Juggernaut
You may spare anyone else.

Additional Notes:
Overpowered killing mixed with only being able to kill select groups of people and having to eliminate people you can't directly kill makes for an interesting role.
The ability to fake a Cause of Death message makes it so the Purge can fake the existence of a NK role, however the Town can spot a pattern that these kills only happen to evil roles and people who visited a specific person. It can also be easily revealed if the victim's role shouldn't be able to die to the chosen cause, such as a role with Basic Defense dying to SK (as Purge does a Powerful Attack).

This is cool and all but what if town is 2 Mediums, a Retri, a Vet, a Mayor and 2 Psys? and the rest of the people are 2 Jesters, 2 Survs, an exe, a GA and an Amne?

You just lose?

This role is super reliant on other evils to kill non-visiting townies, which might just never happen and a giggling double Medium combo just ends you.

Besides that it's not that bad. It would have a pretty easy Vigi claim, though, provided you don't kill someone with def, and could make it so that killing someone doesn't auto confirm.

Being TP immune is also unnecessary. You could make the attack Astral, which would bypass BG and Trapper, but Doc, PM and Crus could all protect the attack.

Suggestions:
Make this an NC, whose goal is to kill 3 evils. The whole "passing judgement" thing is a little sketchy, so instead you could just have it read "killed by the Purge" and it would be fine.
The role is too gimmicky to be a stand-alone NE.

It already is an NC?

Plus, if I did that it'd obviously side with Town, my friend made a concept like that and it was too flawed
