Vampire Rework

Edit: I've now made a Vampire faction with 2 new roles, and included this with it! Check it out here.

Vampire
Attack: None | Defense: Basic
Unique

Alignment -
Neutral (Killing)

Abilities -
-Drain the blood of a player at night
-Draining blood will role-block the target
-On Full Moon nights, your drains will role-block the target the next night, and they will receive Vampire feedback
-You will also drain the blood of up to one person who visits your target
-Your drained target's results will appear as "Framer, Vampire, Jester, Hex Master" until they are no longer drained.
-Each player you drain will give you a Blood Point


Attributes -
-You cannot drain the same person in a row
-Drains will bypass any Defense
-You will lose your Basic defense after being attacked, like the Witch.
-You have 4 abilities: Attack, Cloak, Rampage, and Settle

-You cannot be controlled

You may spend Blood Points to use abilities. You can choose more than one at a time as long as they both cost the same amount of Blood Points.

1 Blood Point (Attack) - You will deal a Basic attack to any target of your choosing.
1 Blood Point (Cloak) - You will grant yourself Powerful defense for the night.
2 Blood Points (Rampage) - You will rampage at your house of choosing,(cannot choose own) dealing a Basic attack to both the target and at most, two people who visit.
3 Blood Points (Settle) - You will stay home, granting yourself Powerful defense and killing whoever visits you with Unstoppable attacks.


Goal -
Kill all who would oppose you.

Notifications
Vampire:
You have decided to drain [Position] tonight.
You have [Number of Blood Points] to use.
You have decided to Attack [Position] tonight.
You have decided to put on your Cloak tonight.
You have decided to Rampage at [Position]'s house tonight.
You have decided to Settle at home tonight.


Player:
Someone occupied your night. You were role-blocked!
You were attacked by a Vampire!
You were rampaged by a Vampire!
You were attacked by the settling Vampire you visited!


Full Moon:
You feel your energy fading. You've been drained by a Vampire!


Spy:
Someone occupied your target's night. They were role blocked!
Your target was attacked by a Vampire!
Your target was attacked by the Vampire they visited!


Full Moon:
Your target was drained by a Vampire!


Investigative Results -
Sheriff: Your target seems innocent.
Sheriff(Full Moon): Your target is suspicious!
Investigator: Your target could be an Escort, Consort, Transporter, Vampire, or Hypnotist.
Investigator(Full Moon): Your target could be a Framer, Vampire, Jester, or Hex Master.
Consigliere: Your target feeds on blood. They must be a Vampire!

I do like how it pierces defence, and how it gains momentum during late game, like Arso. I also like having another role that can frame. It gives more solid claim spaces for evils.

However, Settling seems a lil bit overpowered to me seeing as how we already have two roles that can kill visitors already. Maybe make it a Basic/Powerful attack, but you gain a Bloodpoint for each person who visits you? Just a thought. (Wouldn't count as a drain, just gain some points while you're at it.)

Not having defence as a Neutral Killing means that you are constantly at risk to being attacked. Because the rework makes Vampire a unique role, that means that it's gonna be really easy to lose. I get that you can get defence, but that also means that you can't attack or drain. It makes it very volatile.

Otherwise, it seems fine, it's a bit much but it's not overly unbalanced.

Neutral chaos is called neutral chaos for a reason, I'm all for vampire changes personally but i don't want a "Nk", converts are fine as long as they are in separated game modes from ranked.

I feel like taking out converts/vampires at this point is taking out a part of the game, instead we should be working on making vampires feel like more of a diverse faction instead of being pretty boring and bland to play.

i am super keen to hear your thoughts on this! people often want to axe vamps entirely so i am curious to hear how they could be made more interesting :)

I'd personally add more roles into the vampire faction, converts would be based off role type. Currently vampires are all the same one role and generally just sit there doing nothing all game, obviously you'd need to keep the idea of the youngest right now someone who does the converting or killing while having more unqiue vampire roles that help out the faction other then voting for night kills and being a extra day vote.

I'd also rework VH into a Neutral both ideas aren't too fleshed out or anything but I feel like vampires could be made a lot more intresting and fun to play

It really isn't a broken mechanic.
Id agree with you if we were talking about ranked, but Vampires are chaos/chaotic, they only show up in all any, Draculas palace & custom games, which aren't meant to be balanced.

Making them more fun but still keeping converts a unique mechanic that is fine in certain game modes.

It is broken af, changing someone's goal encourages bad plays and discourages everyone for playing their role, because being converted does prizes you for bad plays and punish you for your good ones

6/20/21 Edits:

Benign Changes:
-Renamed the 'Defend' ability to 'Cloak'
-Removed the Spy message that said the target was rampaged by a Vampire

Buffs:
-Gave them Basic defense until they get attacked, like the Witch
-Made them appear innocent to Sheriff on normal night, suspicious on Full Moon
-Investigative results vary if on Full Moon night or not
-On normal nights, draining somebody will role-block them the same night and give the message, "Someone occupied your night. You were role-blocked!".
-On Full Moon nights, the original message, "You feel your energy fading. You've been drained by a Vampire!' will appear, and they will be role-blocked the next night.

I made a whole Vampire faction with 2 new roles, The Mist, and the Shapeshifter.

Here's the post if you want to check it out, I included this role as the 'Godfather' of the faction. More feedback is appreciated since I could only come up with 2 extra roles lol
