Vampire Faction

You heard me right. Vampire Faction. Let's go. This is a whole ass faction, btw. Lot's of roles.

There can be a maximum of 4 Vampires at a time. After a Vampire dies, this number is lowered to 3.
Amne obviously breaks this rule.
If the game starts with 2 Vampires, there is guaranteed to be a Vampire Hunter.
And yes, some of these roles aren't "vampires", but they are undead nevertheless. And coming up for names for these roles is hard. Feel free to suggest any.

Role: Highlord

Alignment: Vampire Killing

Immunities:
  • Detection Immunity
  • Temporary role block immunity
Special:
  • Vampire Chat
  • Vampire Hunter can not see messages in Vampire Chat.
Unique?: Yes

Attack: Basic
Defense: Basic

Goal: Convert everyone who would oppose you.

Summary: The eldest vampire in Salem, seeking to seize control.
Abilities: You may choose a player to convert at night.
Attributes:
  • If there are more Vampires, you will choose one of them to become a Drudge for the night to visit and convert your target.
  • If the Drudge is role blocked, another Vampire will be forced to visit and convert the target. This will not be you unless it has to be.
  • When you visit a target to convert them, you can convert anyone who isn't Mafia or Coven.
Investigative Results:
Sheriff: You cannot find evidence of wrongdoing. Your target seems innocent.
Investigator: Your target could be a Framer, Vampire, Jester, or Hex Master.
Consigliere: Your target drinks blood! They must be a Vampire!

Notifications:
(Deciding Drudge): "<tonight> will serve as the Drudge tonight."
(Converting Target): "You have decided to convert <target> tonight."

Mechanics:
  • You can not convert a target without creating a Drudge, unless you are the only vampire.
  • If you visit your target to convert them, you can convert them even if they are an unconvertable Neutral, as long as they do not have defense.
  • You are role block immune when commanding a Drudge.
  • The starting vampire will always be a Highlord

Achievements:
  • Undead King: Win 1 game as a Highlord.
  • Monarch: Win 5 games as a Highlord.
  • Nosferatu: Win 10 games as a Highlord.
  • Count Dracula: Win 25 games as a Highlord.
  • Immortal: Win without dying.
  • What Is A Man?: Be attacked by a Vampire Hunter.

Alignment: Vampire Killing

Immunities:
  • Temporary Control Immunity
Special:
  • Vampire Chat
Unique?: Yes

Attack: Basic
Defense: None

Goal: Convert everyone who would oppose you.

Summary: The vampiric underling of the Highlord.
Abilities: Carry our the Highlord's orders.
Attributes:
  • You may only choose to convert someone if the Highlord isn't alive.
Investigative Results:
Sheriff: Your target is suspicious!
Investigator: Your target could be a Framer, Vampire, Jester, or Hex Master.
Consigliere: Your target drinks blood! They must be a Vampire!

Notifications:
(Converting Target): "You have decided to convert <target> tonight."
(Obeying Highlord): "You obeyed the Highlord."

Mechanics:
  • You will see the name of everyone who visits your target and who your target visits.

Alignment: Vampire Investigative

Converted From: Spy, Lookout, Tracker, and Trapper.

Immunities:
  • N/A
Special:
  • Vampire Chat
  • Becomes Drudge when Vampire Killing are dead.
  • Can hear whispers.
Unique?: No

Attack: None
Defense: None

Goal: Convert everyone who would oppose you.

Summary: A vampire with keen senses that spies on people.
Abilities: You may choose a player to watch at night.
Attributes:
  • You will see who your target visits and who visits your target.
  • You can watch fellow Vampires
Investigative Results:
Sheriff: Your target is suspicious!
Investigator: Your target could be a Framer, Vampire, Jester, or Hex Master.
Consigliere: Your target drinks blood! They must be a Vampire!

Notifications:
(Watching Target): "You have decided to watch <target> tonight."

Mechanics:
  • You will see the name of everyone who visits your target and who your target visits.

Alignment: Vampire Investigative

Converted From: Sheriff, Investigator, and Psychic.

Immunities:
  • N/A
Special:
  • Vampire Chat
  • Becomes a Drudge when Vampire Killing are dead.
Unique?: No

Attack: None
Defense: None

Goal: Convert everyone who would oppose you.

Summary: A vampire who uses magic to gain and manipulate information.
Abilities: You may choose to investigate a target at night.
Attributes:
  • You will see your target's exact role.
  • Your target will seem suspicious to the Sheriff and Investigator.
  • As the Drudge, Lookouts can not see your visit.
Investigative Results:
Sheriff: Your target is suspicious!
Investigator: Your target could be a Framer, Vampire, Jester, or Hex Master.
Consigliere: Your target drinks blood! They must be a Vampire!

Notifications:
(Investigating Target): "You have decided to investigate <target> tonight."

Mechanics:
  • You will learn the exact role of your target, like a Consigliere.
  • Investigators will get Framer results on targets you investigate.
  • When you are the Drudge, Lookouts will not see your visit. This does not mean it is Astral.

Role: Ghoul

Alignment: Vampire Killing

Converted From: Vigilante and Veteran.

Immunities:
  • N/A
Special:
  • Vampire Chat
  • Becomes a Drudge when Vampire Killing are dead.
Unique?: No

Attack: Basic
Defense: None

Goal: Convert everyone who would oppose you.

Summary: A fearsome vampire who's strength is unholy.
Abilities: You may attack a player every other night.
Attributes:
  • If your attack succeeds, you must wait a night to attack again.
  • If you become the Drudge and successfully convert or attack someone, you must wait a night to use your ability.
  • As the Drudge, you will gain Basic defense for the night.
Investigative Results:
Sheriff: Your target is suspicious!
Investigator: Your target could be a Framer, Vampire, Jester, or Hex Master.
Consigliere: Your target drinks blood! They must be a Vampire!

Notifications:
(Attacking Target): "You have decided to attack <target> tonight."
(Cooldown Night): "You decide to wait a night before attacking again."

Mechanics:
  • You will deal a Basic attack to your target.
  • The attack is only considered a failure if your target is jailed or you are role blocked.

Alignment: Vampire Protective

Converted From: Doctor, Bodyguard, and Crusader

Immunities:
  • N/A
Special:
  • Vampire Chat
  • Becomes a Drudge when Vampire Killing are dead.
Unique?: No

Attack: Basic
Defense: None

Goal: Convert everyone who would oppose you.

Summary: A powerful vampire who excels in protecting.
Abilities: You may protect a fellow Vampire.
Attributes:
  • Grant your target Basic defense.
  • You will know if your target is attacked.
  • You will know what roles visited your target.
  • If you protect a target attacked by a Vampire Hunter or Vampire Slayer, you will die instead of your target. This will not happen if the Highlord is attacked by a Basic Vampire Hunter attack.
Investigative Results:
Sheriff: Your target is suspicious!
Investigator: Your target could be a Framer, Vampire, Jester, or Hex Master.
Consigliere: Your target drinks blood! They must be a Vampire!

Notifications:
(Protect Target): "You decide to protect <target> ability tonight."
(Vampire Hunter Attack): "You were attacked by the Vampire Hunter that attacked your target!"

Mechanics:
  • You can save your target from a Vampire Hunter's Unstoppable attack.

Alignment: Vampire Support

Converted From: Medium, Retributionist, and Mayor

Immunities:
  • N/A
Special:
  • Vampire Chat
  • Becomes a Drudge when Vampire Killing are dead.
  • Can read the Graveyard chat, but can not talk.[/i]
Unique?: No

Attack: Basic
Defense: None

Goal: Convert everyone who would oppose you.

Summary: A spiritually strong vampire connected to the dead.
Abilities: You may preform the ability of a dead Vampire or Town member.
Attributes:
  • Preform your target's abilities on your second target.
  • Each ability can be used once before it rots.
Investigative Results:
Sheriff: Your target is suspicious!
Investigator: Your target could be a Framer, Vampire, Jester, or Hex Master.
Consigliere: Your target drinks blood! They must be a Vampire!

Notifications:
(Selecting Target): "You decide to use <target>'s ability tonight."
(Using Ability): "You decide to <ability> <target> tonight."

Mechanics:
  • You are able to read the dead chat at all times, even during the day. You are not able to talk in it.
  • You will personally use the ability of the dead target. If you use a Vigilante's ability to shoot a target protected by a Bodyguard, you will be killed.

Alignment: Vampire Support

Immunities:
  • N/A
Special:
  • Vampire Chat
  • Becomes a Drudge when Vampire Killing are dead.
Unique?: No

Attack: None
Defense: None

Goal: Convert everyone who would oppose you.

Summary: A beautiful Vampire who distracts others.
Abilities: Distract someone each night.
Attributes:
  • Distraction blocks your target from using their role's night ability.
  • You can role block Role bloc Immune roles.
  • As the Drudge, you will role block your target as you convert them. You are also role block immune.
Investigative Results:
Sheriff: Your target is suspicious!
Investigator: Your target could be a Framer, Vampire, Jester, or Hex Master.
Consigliere: Your target drinks blood! They must be a Vampire!

Notifications:
(Selecting Target): "You have decided to distract <target> tonight."

Mechanics:
  • You are not role block immune. If you are role blocked by an Escort or Consort, your ability will fail.
Achievements:
    TBD



Phew. That's a lot. Jesus christ. Why did I make this? I was bored as fuck. Try to read it I don't care. This was fun as hell to make.

Edit1: Nerfed maximum Vampire capacity, nerfed Wrathman, nerfed Succuba, adjusted Ghoul, nerfed Revenant.

This seems like a lot of hard work was put into it, well done!
Unfortunately though, I think this is too powerful.

The vampire faction will become way too overpowered. Also, this is taking already existing abilities and making them more powerful. If anything, becoming a vampire should make your abilities weaker.
    Highlord = Converting Godfather(copied from mafia + vampire gimmick)
    Drudge = Converting Mafioso(copied from mafia + vampire gimmick)
    Wight = Lookout with BMer's passive(Too powerful, perhaps remove BMer''s passive)
    Lich = Astral Framer(Remove astral part, also copied from mafia)
    Ghoul = Secondary Drudge(Mafioso), also slightly more powerful than drudge when promoted(tbh I just don't like this one, Sorry!)
    Wrathman = Crusader with additional abilities(tbh i just dont like this one, Sorry!)
    Revenant = Necromancer/Retributionist(limit usage to vampire-only)
    Succuba= Buff'd Consort/Escort(maybe change it to Escort/Consort being able to block Succuba)

Sorry to shut you down like this, but this is practically the Mafia faction with better abilities and a converting attribute to recover lost teammates. Vampires are OP to begin with.

To end this on a good note, I love the way you colored everything and put so much effort into this! It was amazing and fun to read.
I'd suggest you could work on balancing and buffing mafia roles. Maybe even create new Mafia roles if you're confident!

Isn't the process of becoming a vampire also making one stronger? In actual folk lore, I mean. However, I see what you mean.

Basically. However, it's easily countered if the Vampire Hunter finds them, as they can kill them easily (see VH buff for this specifically)

Yes but they have even less rights! And usually, if the Highlord is alive, its used like the "tactical maf kills".

This role is the Vampires prime source of information. They can find TP easily with it. Remember that the Vampires will likely not get this role unless they convert a powerful TI.

The Lich is another source of information, but with a mix of deception. It's a Consigliere and Framer combination. And as I stated, it is not an astral attack. When attacking, you will simply not be seen by Lookouts and Trackers. Bodygards, Trappers, and Crusaders will still stop the attack.

I just wanted to give them a Killing role, if they converted a killing person. I may change the powerful attack. (Edit: I did).

Not the same. Instead of the dead target visiting, you visit. Also you read dead chat at all times! (Edit: No longer gains Basic defense when being the Drudge).

vampires arent a balanced faction expanding on them when they are meant for fun custom game mode this isnt really needed

vampires can only be balanced if conversion is removed

sure this faction would be great for custom modes but conversion roles can never be balanced
