Ally: Neutral(Benign)

Role Name:
Ally

Role Alignment:
Neutral (Benign)

Abilities:
- You may form an alliance with a player at night.

Attributes:
- You must wait 1 night to form or break your alliance
- You may only have 1 alliance at a time
- If you or your ally is attacked, they are granted Basic Defense
- If you or your ally is attacked, you are granted Basic Defense
- If your target is attacked, you will also be attacked
- if you are attacked, your ally will also be attacked

Notifications:
[Ally]: You have selected to form an alliance with [Player] tonight.
[Ally]: You have decided to break your alliance.
[Ally]: Your ally was attacked last night!
[Ally]: You were attacked last night, but your ally has protected you!
[Player]: An Ally is forming an alliance with you.
[Player]: An Ally has formed an alliance with you.
[Player]: Your ally was attacked last night!
[Player]: You were attacked last night, but your ally has protected you!

Goal:
- Successfully survive an attack with your ally.

Win Conditions:
- You win with everybody
- You must survive an attack with your ally

Special Attributes:
Attack: None
Defense: None

Investigator Results:
Sheriff - Your target is not suspicious.
Investigator - WIP!
Consigliere - Your target will protect their friends to their last breath, they must be an Ally!

Achievements:
- "NOOOOOOO!" - Survive an attack without your ally
- WIP

Additional Information:
- The Ally is not a copy of the survivor. They do not have to live to the end of the game, they just need to survive one attack with their target. The Ally and their target will both receive the same attack value. But this does not mean they will both die or survive. A doctor can save the ally, but their target will die and vice versa.
- Explanation: If you survive a Powerful attack by being healed by a doctor, you ally will not survive because they only have Basic defense unless they are also healed or protected otherwise. Because your ally died, you dont win.

The only NBs I've seen done right are the ones that aren't supposed to live for long(e.g. Double, Shade and Phantom from FM) and this has the same problem as ToS's NBs. Surviving to the end of the game is exetremely underwhelming and unimpactful, especially for NBs, and also gives an unneccesary advantage to whoever it decides to side with(similar problems to Survivor, Amnesiac and GA)

Then let it die/leave the town after it completes it goal or something, the other problems still apply. An executioner that lives after it wins is just as unnecessary and unfair(I'd argue Exec/Jester are neither NE or NB but that's unrelated) as an Ally after it wins
